  • Summary: Okay let me first clarify. This laptop is a three star as long as you are using the LAN connection. The wireless card and all of the online help advice will not get it fixed. You have to replace the wireless card in this machine for it to run as a laptop.

  • Summary: Ordered this in April of 2013 so I've been using it a year and 4 months now. When this computer works it is great, but I frequently have issues with the hard drive running at 100% even with nothing else running. This causes very slow performance.

  • Summary: I got this in October, and 7 months in, the part that connects the monitor to the keyboard is cracked and I have to take it in to get fixed. Unfortunately I didn't pay for a long warranty because I've been spoiled by Apple's fantastic warranty and service, so now I'm paying out of pocket.

  • Summary: I bought the IdeaPad Y500 in August 2013 and in February 2014 the operating system failed. When I called customer support, I spent an hour with one rep who concluded the problem was not hardware but was software and transferred me to a different group.

Never again Lenovo

  • Summary: Had my Lenovo for about 6 months now and I pretty much hate it. There have been so many problems ranging from hardware problems (earphones not being detected) to software issues (random freezing/slow-down, random crashing), I am just so disappointed in Lenovo, I really miss my ASUS. Never again.
