Just fine for the price, could be a little better

  • Summary: Not a 5-star product, but still a good laptop, and if you like the way it looks and can get it for a comparable price to similar laptops, go for it. Very much a productivity machine and I can't knock it for that.
  • Pros: Sleek, classy design that doesn't stand out but never looks bad. Glossy screen (I like 'em glossy). Decent CPU performance. GREAT keyboard.
  • Cons: Touchpad isn't amazing. Isn't a really sturdy laptop; I dropped it on a corner once and now the battery isn't fully latched in, I lost a piece of the hinge, and I HAD some issues with it powering off randomly, and staying off.

Good but not great...

  • Summary: I've owned a Y470 for 9-ish months now and, although I'm satisfied with the many features of this system (e.g. the memory, chipset, screen resolution, bluetooth, etc.), I'm dissatisfied with the housing (e.g. the plastic shell/casing), the glossy screen, and the battery.
  • Pros: Price, size, features (e.g. available RAM, graphics card, etc.)
  • Cons: Laptop housing (PLASTIC casing), power cord, glossy screen, battery design

  • Summary: I purchased a V series computer from lenovo. I had an issue with the battery lock while it was still under warrenty. An internal peice of the battery locking mechanism broke and i called lenovo to inform them it had broken, they said it would be covered. A few days later they called to collect $187 for the entire plastic backing... the exterior of the computer is fine, it still is.
  • Pros: its a computer
  • Cons: customer service/warranty

I puchased a Lenovo G560 Laptop in Feb 2011.

  • Summary: It has been a troublesome machine so when they asked for $80-$110 to fix it, I was shocked. Why would I pay for a screen when mine was never dropped, hit or abused in any way, just broke (and was nearly new).
  • Pros: Small and compact
  • Cons: Slow, no keypad and the screen broke after 10 months. , The lcd goes bad and Lenovo does not cover the screens in their warrenty.
