Summary: I purchased this product about 6 months ago after using an HP for over two years. The SSD was remarkable to me, but has slowed down the start time overall as time has gone on. The faulty mousepad seems to be as a default after going over other reviews.
Summary: So far I've been pretty happy with it. A ton of HD space for not a ton of money. Windows 8 is taking some getting used to, but that is always the case and there are a few work arounds to make it more user friendly. One thing that is annoying is the 'mini-VGA' port.
Summary: People are sure complaining about it being cheap, or a bad product. The reality is that it's a $500-600 laptop, not a $2,500 Mac. Get over it.
Pros: Inexpensive. Backlit keyboard is nice, as well as the number pad on the side.
Cons: Windows 8 is for 8th grade girls looking for the next "app" to download. Windows 8 is terrible. But that's not Lenovo's fault. My only complaint about the computer so far is the plastic cover surrounding the keyboard keeps popping up.
