Cons: Wifi and to a lesser extent Bluetooth completely unreliable. Worked well during 15 day return period, then increasinglyl intermittent ever since. Now connects 1 out of 30 if lucky. Intel wireless card must be bad. Am returning soon. Windows 8 and 8.1 poor experience. HDD structure makes it apparently impossible to dual boot W7. Even swapped HDD with W7 Pro 64 and Wifi still failed hard. Battery Life 2 hr if luckly.
Summary: Anyone interested in buying this particular model please stay away from it. Lenovo Ideapad U510 model has a very known hardware issue with the ELAN touchpad. I returned this model exactly for the same issue. This issue is known since Dec 2012 I believe. See the following link: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-Y-U-V-Z-and-P-series/Jumpy-and-Laggy-Touchpad-on-U510/td-p/952467 You will literally find 14 pages filled with customer complaints.
Pros: Nice look and feel. Layout it impressive and I liked the keyboard feel. Trackpad appeared to work without reported problems and the screen resolution and appearance was good.
Cons: The first unit wasn't exactly DOA but it is close. The OS seems to lock up at every action request for a few minutes wherein all control are inactive. At first I thought this might be initial configuration issues and so left it for several days and through several system reboots. The problem didn't resolve and after 4 days I am returning it. My first guess is it is a memory issue; I've seen something similar before with RAM failure causes the CPU to go into fits tryin...
Summary: All laptops i have bought till date where lenovo....Got this 5 months back.... already called their customer care 3 times.. waste of time... issues never get resolved... Issues mouse pad is not fit for use - cursor keeps moving without touching - hardware issue Wifi turns off automatically and no option to turn on wifi in hardware or software Both these issues could not be resolved by their customer care. They even restored my system.
Sofort zurück nach Auspacken. Touchpad funktionierte nicht, WLAN extrem schwach
27 March 2013
Summary: Das Touchpad funktionierte nicht.
