Summary: This ultrabook es very fast, but windows 8 pre-configured with the pc have many issues. I don't like. The ultrabook issues: usb ports, unplug usb storage, when I shutdown, U410 don't finish, not ever but sometimes. I need hard reset the ultrabook and my Hard Disk suffer. The software with the pc is unuseless (so many). Keyboard is very sensible. I use usb keyboard.
Summary: Wireless is very bad! Sometimes stops responding gor a while! Preinstalled skype sucks. Battery life3 aproximately 5 hours in normal use. Touch pad sometimes doesn't do all functions. I would also like it better if the keyboard had light.
Summary: I choose this rating because i like the configuration of the ideapad but i didnt like the operating system Windows 8 in it much. There was no idea with same configuration on WIndows 7. And Lenovo is charging me 100$+ for changing of operating system from Windows 8 to Windows 7 even i bought the ideapad just 2 months ago. Thats very bad.
Summary: I have been using this laptop for a month now. I have installed Ubuntu 13.04, so this review won't address pros and cons of Windows 8. For the most part, this is an excellent laptop. Most things work out nicely, in fact, I only have relatively few complaints: 1. There has been two instances where I had trouble connecting to the internet (while others around me could connect).
Summary: Keyboard sucks it's got some 'give' that feels really strange, keys seem OK just the plastic it's on. Otherwise, seems OK. Some of the software load issues. Windows 8..Yuk! I'm deciding on a new operating system, W8 has got to go!
Summary: This laptop looks amazing! Quite similar to a macbook pro, but less powerful, since you're paying much less. The battery life is great. The wireless card, however, is quite terrible. It has a third of the download speed that my other, cheaper computer gets on the same connection. It would probably be better if you went with another laptop or are willing to spend extra money on a wireless adapter.
Summary: The configuration of this laptop is very impressive considering the price. Moreover, I truly love the outlook of this laptop and feel very comfortable with its light weight. However, there may be some problems with the USB ports and sometimes the wi-fi connection seems not stable and tend to reconnect again and again. Overall, good device for people with not that large budget.
Summary: I just bought the Lenovo U410 - received it last week 12/13/12- and within a week the wifi issue is present - drops the connection often. No other devices having this problem at my place. Start up is fast, Farmville 2 hangs quite a bit (not sure if that's the machine or Farmville 2, but I have this problem more often (very often) with the U410). Graphics fine for the price. Little heavier than I expected but you get what you pay for and I got this at a very low price.
Summary: I have had this computer for exactly one week. The main irksome thing about this machine is its keyboard and mouse pad. The keyboard space has shrunk about 3cm from my old Compaq. Not only that, each key has a smaller face, because the "gutters" between keys are taking up space too. When you type, your fingers (and arms) are cramped together more than with an average keyboard.
