Lenovo IdeaPad U350 – An Absolute Headturner

etechreviews.net
5 September 2009
  • Excerpt: It comes loaded with the Intel Pentium processor SU2700 ultra-low voltage processor and 4GB of RAM to run Windows Vista Home Premium. Also I noticed that the boot time of the Vista is comparatively slower by atleast 16 secs than the category average.  Real- world performance programs were running at an adequately decent speed and most of the programs opened at a speed of about less than 5 seconds, though at times the Vista circle was spinning for longer than usual.

  • Excerpt: Laptop have become essential for students, working class.. as it gives them access to a world of knowledge and creativity. If this is the case then you might  look out for a sleek and affordable ultraportable notebook that provides adequate performance but below-average battery life. Lenovo is getting you introduced to IdeaPad U350 which offers a larger 13-inch screen and a more comfortable typing experience, plus a more powerful processor than the typical mini-notebook.

Lenovo IdeaPad U350 Review

LAPTOP Magazine
3 August 2009
  • Summary: Given its $749 price, we generally like the design and features of the IdeaPad U350. It's lightweight and slim, and its black-and-silver look is attractive. (It's certainly less smudge-prone and feels more solid than the $799 MSI X340.) However, while this ultraportable offers decent performance, its relatively short endurance is disappointing. We highly recommend that you purchase the 8-cell battery option once it becomes available.
  • Pros: Slim and lightweight design, Bright, colorful display, Comfortable keyboard, Crisp, loud speakers
  • Cons: Mediocre battery life, Mushy touchpad buttons, Slow boot time, Annoying pop-up ads
