Summary: The form factor is really nice. Very good design, I actually loved it. However, there was an issue with iRST which is found to be very common in this product. Lenovo forum is full of all that.
Summary: The hinges broke within a few weeks of casual use. The wifi doesn't work at times not to mention, lenovo gave me the run around for two weeks before suggesting that i send the product to their service center. After-which they claimed that the damage may have been done on purpose and sent the system back with a half cracked screen.
Summary: This laptop is the WORST and I would suggest not buying anything lenovo in general. This laptop might seem to work at first, but give a little while and the WIFI will basically completely stop working. It will connect and disconnect a crazy number of times and just not work. I have spent hours at a time just connecting and disconnecting before giving up.
Summary: The wifi was the worst problem. Websites in and around Lenovo are filled with this issue. My Wifi worked fine if I was 10ft from the router, go 30ft from the router it was slow or non-responsive. After syncing about 20 hours of my time to fix this I finally tried disabling the .11n feature and it worked. I can live without .11n speed and I can imagine it's hard to advertise a product with abg and n features but gosh this .11n wifi is just not robust enough.
Pros: Light, responsive, SSD Cache works pretty good. Software load is reasonable. So far battery life is pretty good. Still getting used to Windows8 but it Ok too.
Cons: Service and information push processes is not very good. Upgrade to Win8.1 had problems with Audio.
Summary: I bought one for my son. After only two weeks of using it (majority of the time in home, under controlled conditions), the screen broke and the display was set apart of the case, hanging in the air. It works, but is a problem the fact that permanently we need to put a hand over the display in order to obtain it remains on site. We had tried with the phone support of Lenovo, but have been irresponsive and doesn't bring any solutions until date.
The WiFi problems are true. Lenovo needs to recall these ultrabooks.

Summary: Despite some of the poor ratings about the WiFi I got this laptop because of my great experiences with Lenovo Thinkpads. Unfortunately the reviews are true. The WiFi is awful. Almost useless. It was basically dead in the water when more than 15ft away from the base. I took this laptop to school and used it where I had used my 7 year old HP laptop with no reception issues and the Lenovo U310 had no service. Even when the laptop showed reception bars there was no service.
Summary: ok so i was a bit skeptical about buying this laptop at first because of the negative reviews but just decided to take a leap of faith and go for it in the end. let me just say; i am glad i did so. It is a beautiful laptop. sleek design and quite fast. i dont know what all the wifi problem fuss is about because mine works just perfectly. i am also a huge fan of windows 8 plus with the touch screen integrated with it in this laptop just made me fall in love more.
