Great no-frills Ultrabook

Kyle Kamperschroer, Amazon
26 August 2013
  • Summary: I wanted a laptop that provided me with enough power to pipe 1080p content via HDMI or DLNA to my TV. This works perfectly. I didn't want to pay extra for a touch screen. The build quality is fantastic. It's a comfortable weight, and doesn't feel like cheap plastic. The only complaint I have with this particular model is a slight bit of noise the case or keyboard makes when the volume is turned up too loud.

Daisy, Amazon
4 April 2013
  • Summary: I like the computer overall. It's very light and easy to carry. The only thing that troubles me is the keyboard. Sometimes it's hard to press "n" and "a".

Fantastic: Fast and stable

M "M", Amazon
7 November 2012
  • Summary: This is by far the best laptop I've ever owned. I have not had single issue and am consistently impressed how fast it is. I have a Perl script that parses ten different databases, it use to take 20 minutes, I couldn't do anything else while it ran and I would have to reboot after it ran even once. Now it takes 2 minutes and I can continue to use my computer as normal. For the price, it's amazing.

Not good, some major annoyances and bad customer service

rus garofalo, Amazon
27 September 2012
  • Summary: I got this from Lenovo as a replacement for the T420s that broke after 4 months, blue screen of death and then failed repairs. The internal mic has never worked. It sounds like I'm talking with a pillow over my face. The tech told me it was not broken. I had to yell and he could barely hear me when I called him using it. Using the mic on my Mac, he had no problem at all with me talking like a normal human. The wifi is really weak and drops off several times a day.

6 April 2012
  • Summary: Lenovo U300s 10802BU 13.3-Inch Ultrabook (Graphite Grey) . I bought 2 new U300s on line from Lenovo USA....... my wife brought it back to Australia. WHAT THE ??!!?? Both units's rapid boot from sleep does not work? Contacted Lenovo, might have to ship both ultrabooks back to Texas for a replacements..... Spent more than 1 hour with tech support from USA.... no luck, flashing BIOS, reinstalling drivers, changing power settings all did not work.

Best computer I have ever seen except for a couple things

Kyle, Amazon
22 March 2012
  • Summary: The key to this pc seems to be that its perfect except fro the details which could use some work. -Others complained about the screen but I don't mind it too much, it isn't gorgeous though. -Also battery life is closer to 3 hours than anything (medium brightness and settings) which I think is partially due to the rapidcharge. No battery is designed to charge that fast and it shows. You go from 0 to 96 percent in half an hour and from 96 to 100 in another half hour.

Unacceptable screen for a flagship product

Darren Hart "dvhart", Amazon
18 January 2012
  • Summary: A 1366x768 13.3" screen is unacceptable in a flagship $1500+ laptop. My cell phone has a 4" screen with a 900 pixel vertical resolution!

Great product, though not without flaws

Reginald P. Brown, Amazon
30 December 2011
  • Summary: I don't often review products on Amazon, but I thought this one was worthy of it. Plus, it is giving me a great chance to test out the keyboard. I have had the notebook for about 2 days now, and am very happy with it. It's a solid piece of kit, very well build, and quite handsome. It is also slim, and light, which is exactly what I was looking for when I upgraded from my 1.5 year old Acer Timeline X.
