IdeaPad U160

Engadget
25 September 2011
  • Excerpt: An 11.6-inch laptop with a Core i7 processor. Does the Lenovo IdeaPad U160 really need more of an introduction than that? Believe it or not, the ultrathin laptop you're peering at above isn't much larger than a 10-inch netbook, but instead of packing underpowered parts (ahem, Atom) its got one of Intel's most powerful ultra-low voltage processors.
  • Pros: Thin and light chassis, Nice feeling, curved keys, Speedy Core i7 performance
  • Cons: Less than five hours of battery life, Gets extremely warm, More expensive than other ultraportables

Review Lenovo IdeaPad U160 Subnotebook

Notebookcheck
29 August 2010
  • Conclusion: Lenovo offers its smallest subnotebook in interesting configurations available from 499 Euro. Our Lenovo U160 M436GGE was representative of the high-end version with a Core i5-520UM (from 675 Euro ). The computing performance should have been on par with that of the Acer Timeline X 1830T (11.6-inch), though an improperly functioning Turbo Boost feature prevented the i5-520UM from reaching its full potential.
  • Pros: Fast, quiet hard drive, Low weight, Bright display, Quiet, eSATA-port, Touchpad keys, An eSATA-port on a subnotebook. Those with large quantities of data will appreciate that.
  • Cons: Low performance from the 520UM, Short battery life, High heat emissions, Glare-type TFT, A matte display and a more powerful battery would have helped the run time a bit.

Forkledd minibærbar

komputer.no
25 May 2011
  • Cons: Mangler grafikkmuskler, Ikke optisk stasjon

Förklädd minibärbar

PC-tidningen
2 May 2011

Test Lenovo IdeaPad U160 Subnotebook

Notebookcheck
3 August 2010
  • Conclusion: Lenovo bietet sein kleinstes Subnotebook in interessanten Konfigurationen schon ab 499 Euro an.
  • Pros: Schnelle, leise Festplatte, Geringes Gewicht, Helle Anzeige, Leise, eSATA-Anschluss, Touchpad-Tasten
  • Cons: Geringe Leistung für 520UM, Kurze Laufzeiten, Hohe Abwärme, Glare Type TFT
