Review Lenovo IdeaPad S300 Subnotebook

Notebookcheck
2 November 2012
  • Summary: Low Voltage Gamer. The flat and cheap S300 is disguised as an Ultrabook. It's strength: Radeon graphics. The best all-round gaming available for a low price? Find out in this review.
  • Pros: Light and slim, Ultrabook feeling, 24 months guarantee, Low power consumption, Good program performance, Entry-level gaming performance, Quiet HDD, Low temperature emissions, The concept: cheap components make it possible to compete with the high Ultrabook prices and keep thin subnotebooks affordable.
  • Cons: Poor sturdiness, No Gigabit Ethernet, Poor contrast, dark display, Mere 4 GB RAM, Short battery life, Spongy key impact, Few ports, As usual, programs and games need to be assigned to a GPU in the Catalyst Control Center. This is annoying. We would have not minded an additional 200 grams of weight, if that would give us a sturdy chassis. The way it is, the case does not feel sturdy and reliable.

Lenovo IdeaPad S300 review

YugaTech
5 October 2012
  • Summary: It’s undeniable that the Lenovo is banking on the IdeaPad S300′s 22.4mm thin form factor and its affordable price tag to gain market traction. Taking those two factors in to consideration, we think that Lenovo will have a great shot at the budget-conscious consumers by giving them a taste of ultrabook’s portability without having to shell out a ton cash for it.

Lenovo IdeaPad S300

TechRadar UK
5 November 2012
  • Conclusion: The Lenovo IdeaPad S300 isn't exactly the slimmest, nor is it definitely the lightest, but it is very attractive, well-built, very nice to use for long periods of time and it does have a decent amount of lick underneath the hood, thanks to its Ivy Bridge processor. Its only real downside is the lack of a strong battery life compared to the 'all-day' boasts made by many of the Ultrabook manufacturers.

Testupdate Lenovo IdeaPad S300-MA14CGE Notebook

Notebookcheck
10 July 2013
  • Conclusion: Überraschung!

Recenzja Lenovo IdeaPad S300

notebookcheck.pl
16 December 2012
  • Summary: Lenovo S300 to namiastka ultrabooka.

Test Lenovo IdeaPad S300 Subnotebook

Notebookcheck
22 October 2012
  • Conclusion: Lenovo will eine Art Ultrabook-Ersatz schaffen.
