Summary: Bought 2 of these computers, one for my Mom, one for myself. Mine died after 6 months (screen stays black). Took to shop and it will cost a at least $200 to fix, which is not worth it to me. My Mom's computer is working OK so far.
Pros: Great build. Very light. Awesome keyboard, very clicky! Not one of those really low raised ones that are hard to touch type on.
Cons: Slow harddrive. Absolute garbage. Once the memory runs out, and it runs out at somewhere around 3GB (64-bit system) it starts swapping to the harddrive, which is extremly slow, locking up the system whenever you try to do anything. If you open enough internet browser tabs you can easily permanently lock-up the system.
Summary: I much prefer when you have indicator lights - like hard drive, battery, ac adapter, caplocks etc. This has two pin sized lights on the front side but you can't tell what they are cuz they're so small. I can live with it I guess. Another change is you can no longer make reinstallation cd/dvd - so it's pretty much a crapshoot if you have to reinstall. Laptop came with windows 8 - absolutely HATE it! Just upgraded to windows 8.1 - believe it or not it is even worse!
Summary: So here's the deal. I had a Dell Studio 15" purchased in Fall 2010. It had issues from the beginning and I should have returned it but alas did not. So, two hard drive crashes, broken screen brightness, and a mother board crash later....I finally gave up on it Fall 2013 and decided that after what felt like the 200th blue screen of death I would never purchased another Dell again.
Summary: I'm not one to post 1 star reviews. Why? Because I do significant research before buying and the G700 seemed to be the ticket. Negative complaints were often about Windows 8 which I can deal with, so I purchased a remanufactured one for a great price (relatively compared to new). Sure, it was more than a brand new Dell and a lot more than comparable HPs but Lenovo is higher quality, right?
Summary: Overall extremely please, digging poki which comes bundled with it.
Pros: Bought this as a replacement for a satellite that we had die. I use Lenovo laptops at work and am please with how they work so I figured I'd give a home one a shot. We've been using it since early January (using it now to write this review) and have had no issues.
Cons: Only reason I didn't give this 5 eggs is because I am unsure of the monitor construction. Thus far there has been no issue. But there is no physical catch to secure the monitor in the closed position. This relies strictly on the hinges to keep it closed. Not sure how that is going to hold up over extended use. Also when the laptop is open I can grab the top corners of the monitor and flex the entire assembly...doesn't cause any functional issues I just don't like the ...
Bought this item it had over 126 viruses and malware

Summary: I bought as a Christmas present for my son, within the first week of use it starting having glitches. I contacted the seller who told me they would help resolve the problem, two weeks later I got another reply and they sent me a disk. The laptop by that point would only restart continuously, the seller said that I might need to take it in.
Summary: My wife and I both hate the new windows. Lenovo tech support have been outstanding in helping us through the bumps. A couple problems with laptop itself but they seemed to go away. So it is possible there was a nut loose on the keyboard if you know what I mean. At times I amaze myself.
Summary: I got this for school work and classes in accounting. I felt the bigger screen would help with spreadsheets and easier on my eyes. So far it been a great laptop, very fast, nice key board and big clear screen. A few things I not sure of yet is Windows 8, it's a lot different from Windows 7. I have changed some settings to make it so the Apps stopped getting in the way of the desk top. The battery life is just OK, about 5 hours under normal use.
Summary: Certainly not all computers are created equal and that was indeed the case here as the pricepoint combined with 2.6 in processing power and a video friendly 17 inch screen made this package just right for me. If there is a downside with this machine it would be with the amount of memory. That said, all in all the performance combined with the large screen experience exceeded my expectations.
