Cant go wrong with Lenovo!

Dowjonez7, Amazon

  • Summary: I bought this laptop for my son. It's been great....so far. I love using windows 8 but, the keyboard layout is counterintuitive. I just connect a keyboard and mouse and we are set. Great price as well.

Windows 8 stinks but puter ok

Jeff Valero, Amazon

  • Summary: Other than reformatting the laptop because win8 is terrible the laptop is good for basic web searches and such. Do not expect a super computer because it is not such. The good is that it has a super easy to the touch keyboard and the screen has pretty good brightness and also good resolution.

  • Summary: I chose this laptop because I have a desktop Lenovo also and have no problems with it. I guess things can't always be as perfect as we like.

  • Summary: I ordered the Lenovo G585 and got the G580 but a brand new laptop. However it was a switch up I still keep the one I received and I can say I am happy. I had it a month in a half and I haven't had no problems.

Lenovo G585 Laptop

Ramon V. Pastrick, Amazon
24 May 2013
  • Summary: Works as a computer should with no problems. The Big downside is Windows 8. You'll have to relearn how to use a computer all over again. I've been using computers for 25 years and have been professionally trained but it took me 20 minutes just to figure out how to reboot it. One thing that is annoying is the left mouse (touch pad) button. It takes effort to push it down and it should be just a light tap. What is with these touch pads the last few years?

Ughhh it's ok, I guess...

  • Summary: Matte finish is horrible, shows all finger prints. Windows 8 takes some getting used to, but that's not the machine's fault. The keyboard has a weird feel to it compared to other computers I've used. It almost went back to the store, but turned this into a Christmas gift.

  • Summary: I got this for my Son for college. It meets his needs fine. Getting used to Windows 8. My only concern is that it shows as having an HDMI port, but it does not. Otherwise, it works good.

Lenovo Good! Windows 8 - Not so Much

James "2020 In a blink", Amazon
4 January 2013
  • Summary: I gave this to my wife for her birthday a while ago. After realizing that Windows 8 is set up as if it was being used on a mobile device, she became a little more accepting of the product. The problem, of course, is that absent swipe actions on the screen (the screen is not set up to be touch sensitive), the operating system becomes a pain in the neck.

Not a bad laptop

Happy Shopper, Amazon
30 November 2012
  • Summary: I got this as a black Friday lightening deal for $199. At that price I couldn't say no especially when my old laptop just stopped working. This isn't the fastest processor but is perfect for what I need it for which is saving my pictures, email, internet and basic things. I haven't tried the webcam yet but the speakers and screen are both great. The touchpad is very sensitive, I don't really like it but using a portable mouse solves that problem.
