Summary: Disappointing -- had read the positive specs for a gaming laptop for my son. But the laptop w/windows 8.1 has been freezing up, going to black screen or a blue screen and becoming completely unresponsive. This is a brand new laptop with basically a browser, minecraft, steam, current java. Even so, I have had to completely restore using the onekey backup to its original state twice already.
Summary: This computer is terrible. The tile like interface does not work well and is not intuitive. The system is supposed to link all sorts of email, chat and social media platforms, but it fails spectacularly. This computer is a waste of money. I can barely get it to run word processing. Don't even get me started about trying to play videos or surf the web. Seriously, do not buy this computer it is useless. I take that back, it can be used as target practice or a paperweight.
Summary: I bought this laptop about 5 months ago and it has been nothing but problems. At first I go the same issue as others with the performance dropping while plugged in, after looking into it i found that there was an update for the bios which solved the issue for a while until a couple months later the CPU would randomly UNDER-CLOCK below its lowest clock of 2.5ghz down yo 2.1ghz.
Summary: I bought 2 of these laptops for my children for Christmas. They have horrible performance. They are slow and you can forget reliable streaming. The streaming is useless even when an entire video is buffered. I thought I was getting a deal but boy was I wrong!
Summary: This computer was bought for my daughter. It took 20 minutes to load a web page or any other function. It had trouble recognizing Wi-Fi signals. Kept bouncing to different screens between desktop, Windows 8 screen, and whatever she was trying to work on. I returned this computer and got her an HP!
Summary: I was so excited when I opened my new computer. Started looking at the pre loaded aps, seeing which ones I wanted on my main screen. Then I tried to log onto my e mail. I entered my information and password, hit enter and it went back to the log on screen without the info I just entered. I called tech support and was told I had many viruses but for $100 they could fix it. I asked how that could be I havent been to any websites, never got to open any mail.
Summary: Windows 8 is a horrible operating system designed for touch screens! I don't know how well it works on touch screens but it doesn't work here. The 8.1 made it a little bit more user friendly but.. I don't know if it's windows or the sensitivity of this mouse pad but unwanted windows keep popping up everywhere even after I turned off the corners.I constantly have to go to task manager just to get things turned off completely. Why? Why? Why?
Summary: I returned the laptop because the processor was so slow. It couldn't handle having more than one program running at a time. Even with only one program running, it was far slower than the 5 year old HP I have been using.
