Summary: For its price its a splendid laptop... Don't make the mistake of loading tonnes of software/games... keep 1 separate PCs for all that entertainment... Keep the load low and this will run the miles, uninstall all unnecessary apps and keep it clean for that 10 second boot... The sleek design just add a tinge of visual appeal with a really good battery life...
Summary: This is a great laptop for the price. I really like it because of the HDMI input. I can connect it to my TV with a HDMI cable and stream movies. I really hated Windows 8 when I first got this and thought I might return it but once I got used to it I was off and running. The speed is good, comes with a trial subscription of virus software. The keypad and shortcut keys are also plus from the older models.
Summary: I bought this laptop to use for school, as I am taking all online courses and would be needing something that would be durable and run fast. After extensive research into a multitude of different brands and models, this is the computer that I and my brother (who is a computer tech) found to be the best computer to fit my needs for the price.
Summary: I had to replace my beloved Gateway after several years of use, and so far this Lenovo is great. Only issue is the touchpad. Had to go to the store and return 3 of these before I found one that didn't have an Elan touchpad issue. Even after messing with the settings, the touchpad would be erratic, slow and click on things I didn't want to open, even after changing the sensitivity.
Summary: According to PC Magazine this was best in their "Basic" category of laptops. Yes, the keyboard is very good. Very much like a desktop keyboard but without the noise. Layout is a little different from the keyboard I had but the touch is good. Sheesh. A very sensitive mousepad. Or sometimes not. This is a problem; never knowing when I can simply hold my finger above the pad and it will respond or when I have to tap it. And it does over-react often.
Summary: Good affordable laptop for people who want latest (almost) configuration but a little less than high end laptops.WIndows 8 is a bit tricky for me. But the look and feel is good.Keyboard is as big as a desktop so no cramped keys. USP of this product is its value for money.
