Summary: My G500s is just 6 months old. Already probs with no sound and daily, intermittent failure to connect to very strong, working wifi off Comcast Premium internet modem. When it works, I'd give it 4 stars (minus 1 for the really crappy Lenovo tech support and the slowest web site I've ever encountered). I would not buy this again, or in the first place.
Summary: It's a pathetic Laptop. Pathetic wi-fi connectivity, awful design due to which breakge will start soon, you have to really press in order for touch screen mode (not smooth), pathetic customer support (from Lenovo)

Summary: I have the touch version of this laptop. Well, I own it but I don't actually have it because I sent it to Lenovo about 2 weeks ago for repairs. First problem, it is built very cheaply. The two parts on the bottom keep clicking apart when I pick it up to put it on a table or my lap. I didn't notice that it had clicked apart and tried plugging in the charger but the charger end pushed the port into the computer because the side was clicked apart.
Summary: Had to return due to ethernet quitting after 2 days and unable to fix. Lenovo support said this is a common problem. Also trackball pad was slow and sometimes unresponsive not sure if it was computer or windows 8 problem
Summary: I purchased this Laptop on 10/10/13 and the battery already is no good. I am told that I must have had it plugged in to much of the time and it fried the battery. I find it hard to believe that a product made in 2013 would not have a built in safe guard to prevent this.
Summary: The touch screen regularly glitches, leaving points where the screen acts as if I am interacting, and will not let me touch anywhere else. Both myself and a friend using this model have found that the spacebar often "sticks". In addition, the CD drive will not function, the laptop is six months old and I carry it to class four times a week. More recently, when I turn it on in the morning the laptop will completely crash because of a power issue.
Summary: Three weeks after I purchased this computer, it started flashing uncontrollably, so it had to send it in for repairs. So that wiped out everything on it, like Norton and my office program and my pictures files. Now 2 months later, the screen is locked with Lenovo on. The solution is for me to find someone to remove everything that I want to save on the hard drive, then call Lenovo again so they can help me restore the operating system to the factory settings!
Summary: DO NOT buy this damn notebook. I bought a factory sealed brand new one, and had problem from the beginning. Google any lenovo notebook with randomly network connection lost. Many people had return their machines. Not even that, I did recovering the system twice within 3 hours. Windows crashes, and leave me with blank start screen. Any brand new computer should work right away after pushing power button for first time.
Summary: I bought this computer at Staples and have run into constant problems. It will not stay connected to my home network. As a result, my attempts to print to my wireless printer constantly fail and I am sometimes unable to connect to the internet as well. The other issue I have is that there is no way to turn off the mouse pad while I am typing. This has caused me to lose work and to have to constantly go back and delete what I typed because it ended up in the wrong place.
