Summary: Would not recommend. Lenovo used to be high quality, but now the laptops are cheap productions.
Pros: Thin profile
Cons: Touchpad is extremely loose. It is not firm with the body of the laptop. After sending it in for repair, the touchpad is still loose and on top of that the touchpad began to skip/jump. After sending it in for an RMA, Newegg claimed that there was no problem, even though I did a factory reset which means the skipping touchpad was not a driver issue.
Cons: Lenovo has the bios set up so that it is meaningless to do an image backup of the root drive. It will back up, but when one boots from the usb port, the hard drive is invisible, so a restore is not possible. The only only thing I get from Lenovo support is to use the built in restore - which will only restore to the original state, sans any software one has installed. Or one can send it back to them, to get the same original restore, which means money and time after t...
Summary: I made the mistake of not really using this computer until it was too late to return it. 1. It does not really fold over into a pad. It sort of folds over, but the screen has to be at about a 60-70 degree angle in the up position. I wanted a full fold over so I could lay it in my lap or use it easily on an airplane. All the other pad/computers I saw folded over and I thought this one would do the same!! Lesson learned! 2.

Summary: Update **** 3/31/2014*** This computer just crashed after being bought 7 days ago! Prior to that, my mom had a few issues with it (it was taking FOREVER to start up), but we figured those issues would decrease with time. Well, now I'm returning it! Old review: I bought this computer for my mom after her Acer died.
Summary: About a week after I started using it, I got the "Blue screen of Death" stating that I had a "Driver power state failure" I continue to get this same Driver notice frequently. Went to the Lenova Community page and this seems to be happening to others with the Idea Pad. The support is terrible for this Lenova computer! It is also very slow to turn on.
Excerpt: The laptop looked well but preformed sub par, slow boot time, the glide mouse was the worst experience, very un responsive, color and screen just average, I like Lenovo products but this one was not what I expected, I am returning to store, I will look for upgrade model. No issue, Staples is a great store to do business with!
