Fine basic cheap laptop, except for one vital thing...

Summary: This keyboard is fine for students or others on aa budget, and basically works fine, is sturdy enough if you're careful with it at all, is quiet, and so on... except for one very important thing. The keyboard. As you've seen already by the double letter "a" at the beginning of this review, it occasionally types double letters, or skips letters, or leapfrogs double letters over each other due to what Lenovo "support" is calling a faulty keyboard.
returning because laptop did not have correct drivers installed
10 June 2014
Summary: laptop did not have correct driver for the speakers contacted customer support at Lenovo and they helped me install correct driver took about 90 minutes but now I am thinking if the factory did not catch this what else is wrong with it?
Summary: I've only had the computer for a couple of months and now it is crashing on a daily basis. I get the blue screen of death at least twice per day. I am trying to find some way of contacting the seller, or at least the manager of the canopy protection plan that I purchased with the computer, and so far I have not been able to reach anyone. Right now, I feel like I wasted my money on this piece of junk...
Summary: I wanted a laptop with a good reputation and Windows 7. I was delighted that Amazon had a nice selection. The stores only seem to have Windows 8. I suppose I could have had one custom made. I loved the feel of the Keyboard, and I loved the way that heat was exhausted out of the sides of the base instead of the bottom It never got hot....but... This computer came loaded with countless spyware programs that I said no to installing.
Summary: I really don't know if I should give this a 1 or 2 stars .... I got this laptop in the mail this morning and everything has been great. Well, ... not quite exactly ... The laptop looks and feels sleek and nice. The keyboard is amazing! Processor and ram is great and runs applications without any lag. I think the i5 3230M with 6GB of RAM is perfect (since I'm not a gamer or a professional video editor). Windows 7 is great, love it.
Summary: Once setup was complete the battery remained at 98%. Two days later it dropped to 96%. After 35 minutes on the phone with Lenovo tech support the technician concluded that the system didn't recognize the battery. Because the issue had to do with the motherboard, not the battery, she advised to return the B590 to Amazon. This computer was purchased on the good reviews it earned thus far at Amazon.
Summary: The Key board did not function correctly. I returned it to Lenovo after a lot of phone conversation and received a brand new computer. This would have been OK if I hadn't already loaded all my programs on it. Microsoft Office could not be reinstalled because it had been used previously. Lenovo's quality control is definately lacking not to have picked a problem like the one I had. I wasted a lot of time because of this.
Summary: This is a hard plastic computer. Not pleasing to the touch and feels cheap. There is some bloat ware installed but not too much. It surfs the internet just fine. The screen size is adequate and not too small. The best feature is the long battery life at 3 hours plus. The speakers are terrible and it sounds like a cheap plastic computer. Realistically I would pay about $250 for this computer and not a penny more.
