Summary: I have got this laptop for 18 months now and unfortunately its becoming a disappointment. It had very good ratio of price to hardware when was bought, it is fairly quick and did not give any problems until recently. Shortly after warranty period ended the left hinge started to move. The screen always looked a bit wobbly, but the hinge now moved 70 degrees compared to where it should be. So the laptop must be left with the open screen all the time.
Summary: I have been using this laptop for a few months now and overall I am very impressed. There are weaknesses, as you'd expect, but in my opinion they are in the right areas. Firstly the good points about this computer: Powerful Nice backup / Restore system Good Connectivity Excellent Price The bad points are: No backlit keyboard Slightly Noisy fan Underimpressive screen Limited trackpad functionality Poor webcam quality Underwhelming battery life I'd say that Lenovo have...
Summary: This is a seriously good looking machine with a premium feel not reflected in its very reasonable price for the spec. Speedy Sandy Bridge processor, 500gb hard drive, and a decent mid range graphics card which will run even recent games at lower resolutions. Runs very cool, which I regard as very important in a laptop as a fried motherboard is not good news.
Summary: Purchased to replace an older laptop that was limited to 3Gb RAM the Lenovo delivers the promised performance. I swapped the hard drive to an SSD as I don't need a lot of storage - just speed. Upon removing some of the supplied bloatware boot up is in about 20 secs and shutdown in about 8. Easily runs Photoshop 6, Lightroom 4 and other heavy software simultaneously. Just wish it didn't have a gloss screen - just too many reflections.
Summary: Speedy service and delivery. Fast i5 processor and good amount of memory which is what I was looking for. Unfortunately the motherboard and keyboard broke down after only 2 weeks. Repair took only 10 days and so hope that it does not break down again.
Summary: I bought this Lenovo specifically to speed up my photo editing with Photoshop. I have found the laptop to be a huge improvement on my old Windows Vista Dell. Unfortuately I have had to spend time on two specific issues. Firstly the BluRay player asked for an update and when I installed what it downloaded it still didn't work. I could see on the internet lots of people have had the same problem.
Summary: I purchased this product as a replacement after the 1tb HDD, 8gb RAM Samsung I bought could not be shipped. It has however not disappointed. I have had it for 4 weeks now, the i5 processor runs very fast, the fan blows very quietly unlike my previous Toshiba Satellite A665D yet the laptop never gets hot. I would have been a lot happier with a 1tb HDD but I plan to replace the HDD soon.
Summary: First the good stuff, it's pretty quick decent graphics card and cpu, will play most games on medium settings.Plays bluray ,fan is very quite, looks well built and solid, good size ram and hard drive.I personally like the keyboard layout, and it boots up pretty quick. And now a few negatives, it's not overloaded with extras,no pci express slots or sata external ports, wouldn't be happy about watching movies on it as screen is nice but not fantastic, didn't play blurays out of...
