Summary: The G575 works great except they don't put any locktite on the two hidden screws that hold the hinges on. As a result the screws fall out after about 8 months use and where the hinges screw into the base snaps. Every time you open the lid the case opens up along the seam in the back. You have to go the the fine print in the back of the warranty to find out that hinges and the key board are not covered after 90 days.
Summary: I would definitely not purchase this laptop again. I've had trouble from day 1 with crashing/blue screen. I've called the help number, but have not had satisfaction. Maybe mine is just a lemon and not all are like mine.
Summary: After several IBM thinkpads, 3 Lenova netbooks,I was confident about buying 2 of these G575's. Big mistake. Within days of the 1 year warranty expiring, both computers became paperweights, crashing 2 days apart. Deciding to try their customer service, the first tech indicated he and his wife had the same problem. Their 2 lenovas crashed the same way, a few days out of warranty. He indicated Lenova mught decide to make it good.
Summary: Great buy for the price and thanks to windows 7....Item received as described and in a timely manner. I am actually ready to buy another a a gift item as long as I can find one with windows 7 and not 8....
Summary: I only have used it a couple of times, and only for internet searching/youtube. cant really complain for the price ($330), but am surprised to see it has a little bit of lag when trying to scroll down on facebook. Streams youtube just fine though so i dont think its an isp issue. not a gaming pc, but seems to search the net just fine.
Summary: I'd love to come upon another offer to purchase one of these Lenovos for the same amount of money. I purchased it as a gift for my husband and he was thrilled with it. So am I, because I no longer have to wait for him to finish using my p.c. to get work done.
Summary: Do not buy this product if you want to have nothing but issues. The customer service is horrible. They are rude and we have had someone out 3 times and now they want to send it in. People depend on computers and there is no reason for the rudeness of their customer service. I have worked on computers. The technician installs a faulty fan and won't come back and fix it. NOW we have to send it in. This is all same problem, 4 times and they will not fix it. Buy with care.
Summary: I bought this for my 11 year old's first computer. It came with windows 7 installed and out of the box it was easy and quick to set up. It found our home network during setup and connected (once I gave it the key #) easily. No problems from this basic machine yet. Fast, quick startup and decent enough screen. There are quite a few $400 computers out there...this one is worth it.
