Excerpt: I got this computer to replace my Toshiba tablet that I had in college. Bought it on sale. Great computer for the price I got it for. Lots of hard drive space, plenty of RAM, and good compact size. Only drawbacks I see are that the DVD drive can be pretty loud, the speakers aren't as good quality as advertised (probably due to location of speakers), and the biggest drawback is that it has Windows 8.
Wonderful machine with high value for price; wireless problem

Summary: 4 out of 5 stars because (like others have experienced) wireless doesn't work. I'm in the process of uninstalling wireless drivers and re-installing to fix the problem, as per the advice of Lenovo forum. Otherwise, excellent value for money. Strong specs.
Summary: I received my Lenovo G500 on 01/14/14 and on 02/09/14 it completely crashed. The company I purchased it through on here says they only cover the situation if it happens within 7 days of receipt. So I have to pay to send it back to Lenovo for repairs. I paid $570.00 for it originally and less than a month later I have to pay more money to send it back. Lenovo states that they will repair it and set it back to factory settings and pay to ship it back to me...
Summary: The original description was for a touch screen, my main reason for purchasing it however when I received it, it was not a touchscreen. All the paperwork with the computer was for a touch screen. The computer itself is a great buy and I like it..
