Summary: This notebook was my last choice since the reviews were so disparate; I took into account reviews of both the A10 and A6 versions of the machine. Both versions of the machine are considered the e545 model. Many people wrote that the e545 was ok, many people wrote that it was great, and many people wrote that it was absolutely horrible and should be avoided like the plague. I've owned the A10 version now for probably just under two months and, so far, so good.

Summary: ordered the computer used, seller said only used for 2 days (i doubt that very highly but it had the box and everything that came with it was in good condition so who's to say he wasn't telling the truth) however upon turning the computer on i was unable to connect to the internet both wired and wireless. i uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and nothing. i had to reinstall windows and the drivers before the computer would work properly.
Summary: I am a Mac user, but got this laptop for my wife, who wanted something similar to what she was used to at work. This laptop exceeded my expectations. Admittedly, as a Mac snob my expectations were fairly low, but this is a very capable laptop. I especially appreciate the touch pad, which duplicates many of the multi-touch features of a Macbook.
Satisfactory if you're looking for an economy laptop

Summary: I was initially looking to buy a W530, the machine I use for work for durability reason, but I was happy to find this machine instead. Note that Lenovo no longer sells both models. You have to get them from places like OEM Genuine or some individual sellers at eBay. The availability of cloud storage made me decide to go with 128GB SSD instead of the higher capacity ones. I picked SSD instead of HD due to lower power consumption and faster boot-up.
Summary: This is a good deal for the money. We use daily for school, surfing and placing online orders. Our only complaint is the battery life being less than what we are used to but I guess this being much bigger than our netbook it is to be expected. We would rate this machine at 4.5 if on a different rating scale.

Summary: Returned my Asus for this product. So far, loving my Thinkpad! The keyboard is fantastic! The overall weight of the laptop is lighter than what I expected. The two year warranty a definite plus!
