Summary: It would be an excellent computer if it wouldn't keep losing its connection to the router. No other device in the house has a problem, but this computer, apparently randomly, loses its connection and the only fix that seems to work is to reboot the router. Sometimes several times a day. What a pain!
Summary: This was the first laptop I ever bought brand new. I thought it was a great value, with plenty of space and a big screen. It worked perfectly for about 2 years. Then, the screen started coming apart on one side. Even my used computers lasted longer than this one did brand-new.

Summary: The construction of the computer feels a bit flimsy and the monitor does not have great resolution, but I guess that's what one should expect with a sub $400 laptop. The one that I purchased came with the win 8 pro upgrade, which unfortunately gave me problems.
Summary: After about a year and one month, it ended up breaking at one of the hinges, to a point where the cords and insides've followed out after it. I am not an angry person, and have never abused it in any way, nor have I ever dropped it once the entire duration of having it.
Summary: I bought this laptop specifically to load Ubuntu on. It took pretty well, although there was always an issue with the screen brightness not being supported. That said, after about 18 months it had a hardware failure so bad I couldn't even boot from a disk or USB stick.
Summary: This is the second ThinkPad I have owned. The first was a refurbished one, and it lasted three years. This one I bought new. they are good workhorse computers, I use mine for my business. The screen has gone out and needs to be replaced, it is 1 1/2 years old. 6 months after the warranty ran out.
