Summary: I have never written a review on here before and find it so hard to make decisions based off of them sometimes as you get great reviews and then terrible ones. I got the item on time and straight out of the box it started shutting down and faulting to a blue screen. Could not install updates or do much of anything without it shutting down to the fatal blue screen error.
Summary: It is good for this price. Can keep up with some online games I usually play. But still have some problems. First, the operating system is Win7 professional, so changing language is more difficult. Second, the cpu is not so good. I just received my laptop one week, most of time it was fine but I experienced high CPU usage (90-100%) and high cpu temperature one or two times.
Summary: I have always like Lenovo products. All the Lenovo products (thinkpads) I have bought in the past were very good products with excellent quality. The quality was obvious immediately upon opening the box. Sturdy feel of the overall frame, nice strong sturdy feeling lock to keep them closed and professional feeling keyboard with excellent feedback just shouted "quality".
Summary: I did a lot of research before buying this. My goal was to get a laptop for under $400 that ran Windows 7. I began to lean toward a refurb higher end Dell business laptop but when I came across this I decided I would rather have a brand new unit. My previous low-end Lenovo laptop worked well for me for 3 years but I ended up getting rid of it when the cover broke off the keyboard section.
Summary: this is an OK Laptop for the Price. No Touch screen so Windows 7 is far better then Windows 8. Cost effective and keyboard feels good. The Bad... Lenovo was so cheap there are no LED's for Hard Drive indicator, Caps Lock, Num Lock, wireless - noting except power light. Often Windows version (anything) takes forever, is slow, startups take a long time - you name it. You need to see the Hard Drive LED ... Bad move Lenovo.
Good work machine - not user friendly to an old geek

Summary: First let me couch my comments by saying I am a retired IT guy. I think most people will be very happy with this machine although I think it is only a steps above a mediocre machine. What made me decide to consider the purchase was the manufacture and hardware. Lenovo is one of the top 3 laptop builders as of Spring 2014. Apple, ACER and Lenovo are regarded as the 3 best in that order. I also liked that fact they used top quality hardware in the build.
Summary: The computer is nice but moves as fast as an i3 computer. But I do like the windows 7 a lot. If you are looking for a fast computer this may not be the one your looking for. I do really like the keyboard.
