Hardware failure within 3 days..

David Emerson, Amazon
  • Summary: Within 3 days my laptop started shutting off by itself. Then soon after experienced the blue screen of death AKA hardware failure. Absolutely unacceptable for a brand new laptop. I'm returning it now. This is was the first and will be the last time I buy a Lenovo. I'm sticking with HP's.

Damaged product, great return policy.

Alfred Ramirez, Amazon
15 October 2014
  • Summary: Damaged laptop. Look at the most recent reviews. Beware of this batch! Ran extremely slow for me even after updates. Load time was 5-10 minutes for windows. I thought it would just be first boot but it never got better. Glad it was this way right out of the box so I could return it. Would have been unfortunate had it failed on me after the return window. Amazing return policy. If I could add stars for that I would.

Buy the computer but not from this seller.

Ryan Fee, Amazon
28 September 2014
  • Summary: The computer is probably a good machine, it seems fast and loads quickly. But, the seller sucks. The machine crash dumps every day since I first turned it on. Having to repair a brand new computer because of faulty installation of hardware/software or BIOS setup is really disappointing. I purchased the 12gb upgraded RAM.

RUN SCREAMING FROM THIS LAPTOP!!

nightsmusic, Amazon
2 August 2014
  • Summary: This is without a doubt the worst laptop I've ever had. I wavered between another Toshiba and this and ended up choosing this and I'm so sorry I did. And of course, the return window closed last week so now, I'm stuck with it. I will never buy another Lenovo anything! Unless you plan on using a mouse with this laptop, don't buy this.

Unfit for use

Lafcadio Bumpus, Amazon
25 July 2014
  • Summary: This device was delivered with the following problems: 1) Stuck pixels on screen--probably not as many as three, but not a happy discovery. Pixel unsticker s/w has no effect. 2) Optical drive appears to be broken and jams halfway out. Can be used to play discs, but makes unhealthy noises doing so. 3) CPU temperature per Pirisoft Speccy reaches 114 deg. C (yes, Celsius) or higher routinely under light load (web browsing without movies or animation).

WIFI speed issues

jgatsby "massboy", Amazon
24 July 2014
  • Summary: wifi had problems. the speed was 0.5 mbps which is pathetic.re- installing driver did not help. Very disappointed with Lenovo. I have one that has lasted four years with no problems. This one has serious wifi issues. I do not see why this should not work right out of the box.

Apparently a useless piece of junk.

Lafcadio Bumpus, Amazon
23 July 2014
  • Summary: This is without a doubt the worst computer I have ever bought. It is unfit for use. Upon receiving the machine, I noticed one or two stuck pixels on the screen--not enough to justify a return, but a definite blemish. Later I noticed that the very cheap and flimsy cd/dvd drive was jamming halfway open and could not be used after the first few uses.

Shuts down when moving, flexing or pressing the laptop

Bruce, Amazon
5 July 2014
  • Summary: It looked and worked pretty nicely until we started to use it as a *mobile* laptop. If we moved the screen just a little bit forward or backward or flexed the laptop (ie, pick it up, had it on one's lap) or leaned/pressed on the front of the laptop (the place one places one's wrists when typing) then the laptop would power down as if the power were taken away (plug/battery pulled out).
