We had to spend hours cleaning this stuff off before the computer was minimally useful.

Summary: I might have rated this laptop much higher if they had not loaded it with malware. Do the folks at HP think anyone enjoys having multiple pop-ups trying to sell backup services, cloud storage, optimization services, etc. We had to spend hours cleaning this stuff off before the computer was minimally useful.
Excerpt: Using this laptop for video editing with Premiere Pro CC and After Effects CC. Love the disk speeds through the thunderbolt to an external SSD drive. What can I say, it's a VERY fast laptop with plenty of horse power. Only downside is it's on the big side, being a 17" laptop.
Summary: I wasn't sure about this computer and not enough info was available. I had made return arrangements, but I just went ahead and opened the box and used it. I really fell in love with it, the support is also in US and wonderful people. The notebook is loaded with i7, memory 16GB and Hard drive is more than 500 GB SSD. It's Gun metal color, and I love it.
Summary: In my opinion this is about the best full-performance Notebook computer out there if you can live with the design defect explained below. I needed a replacement for my stolen HP Elitebook 8770w, which is no longer available from HP. I wanted a 17 inch screen and I most assuredly did NOT want a touchscreen notebook computer. After considerable research I selected this ZBook 17.
I was very excited about my new $3000+ HP ZBook until it actually arrived...

Summary: I shopped for a new laptop for close to 6 months and finally decided to purchase the new HP ZBook 17" once I heard about it. I ordered the 4900 Haswell, 16 GB RAM, the Nvida 3100 graphics card and a couple of other upgrades. The cost for my system with the warranty and taxes was about $3800, more than I have ever spent on a laptop in my life. I was VERY excited as I opened the box when it came a few days ago. I turned it on and the screen was gorgeous!
Summary: I had originally wanted to purchase HPs elitebook series computer but they were scheduled to discontinue them in late 2013. This turned out to be good timing because the ZBook, the replacement series for the Elitebook, is lighter, faster and less expensive than it's predecessor. I use this notebook as a true workstation fully loaded with architectural software, and full office level communications and financial software as well.
