Garbage for a premium price

M. Chisholm, Amazon
26 January 2015
  • Summary: Worst laptop I have seen, I have purchased 50+ of these for my work as the replacement model for the Elitebook 8570W, these machines are constantly needing repairs, have had a bad BIOS update that will cause the machine to get extremely hot. I Have had multiple motherboards replaced (3 in one machine before it ever got deployed to a user), Monitors replaced, video card fans needing replacement, Displayport issues, PC will hibernate when power settings are set not to (and...

Extreme weight, very poor build and quality control

freefood, Amazon
16 December 2014
  • Summary: Extremely heavy laptop, yet the battery life is horrible. Performance is not near the cost. I would pay less than $1k for this. So many of my coworkers and I have had broken monitors (3 out of 15). There seems to be a problem with the connector. It's quite depressing...

So Far, So Good!

Malisa, B&H Photo
25 November 2014
  • Excerpt: I've had this machine for a little over a week now and so far it is performing up to my expectations. I bought this because I do a lot of CAD, and while the program I use is not quite as hefty as something like AutoCAD, it still takes up a lot of space on my computer. This machine has been able to open up my drawings with ease and speed, and pop up into 3D when required at a much faster rate than my old laptop.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Fast, Powerful

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH

Felix Gumby "Quirrell", Amazon
4 November 2014
  • Summary: This arrived full of a virus that prevented any usable operation. I could not even load anti virus software due to the constant freeze ups and pop ups. . . $2500 and IT DID NOT WORK FOR EVEN 5 MINUTES. . . . DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS UPDATE: I returned this laptop 20 hours after I got it, and w/in hours, Microsoft called and wanted to inform me they were aware of the virus problems an wanted to help resolve the issues. . . I told them I had returned the computer..

Good vendor and good machine - but pretty big

David, Amazon
2 October 2014
  • Summary: I'll start with the seller. I had some interactions with them and found them to be polite, respectful and very responsive. They over delivered on service, which I was thrilled to see. Regarding the product itself, it was delivered exactly as advertised. A few things to know - it's big. Even bigger than I appreciated. One of the criticisms in other reviews is the weight. It's quite manageable but it's a sizable laptop.

  • Excerpt: Eats up 3D CAD and Video Editing. Only drawback is weight but it is heavy for good reasons so you can't really knock it for that.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast, Powerful
  • Cons: Heavy bulky
