Summary: I can't believe how quickly it boots up. So far that's been the best feature. I haven't had much of a chance to use the computer because it came with problems and is now waiting to be picked up and sent back to HP for a new Bluetooth chip. The computer was only 2 days old when I realized the Bluetooth stopped working. I'm hoping once it gets fixed, I won't find any other issues with it.
Summary: I ordered this laptop to replace a 17 inch gaming laptop that I was also using for business. At 4lbs lighter, this Envy is easier to deal with at a TSA probing. The screen is very crisp, it's nice to have a touchscreen along with 4 USB3 ports. I didn't add the Bluetooth, but now wish that I would have. I added the Nvidia Graphics so I would be able to play if I wanted to, and WOW, it's a VERY capable laptop now.
Summary: I am impressed with the performance of this laptop, for gaming purposes. It's bigger than I thought, and heavier. Also, the keyboard is not lit, but that is easily mitigated by the touch screen.
Summary: As a college student/casual gamer, I decided to purchase this laptop about two months ago. My exact computer specifications are posted at the bottom of the review. This laptop is definitely more than enough for what I do in college, and is a pretty decent gaming laptop as well considering its cost.
Only Windows Laptop I can say is better than a Macbook Pro. This is a beautiful machine for the discriminating power user.

Summary: This laptop is a beautiful piece of engineering from HP. I am a techy guy/road warrior and I am very picky about laptops. In my opinion this is the only credible alternative, in some ways a better alternative, to the Mac Book Pro. The touch pad is very well done, it is just like Apple's. And unlike Dell touchpads, the software drivers are very well done, they dont suck up background CPU and the two-finger gestures work well. The screen and keyboard are really great.
Summary: This Laptop is awsome, light years ahead of my 13 year old Compaq. It is lightweight, well built and sturdy. The case/keyboard has zero flex anywhere. It's very quiet with the fan on, unlike my old laptop. The usual quality from HP you would expect.. I had an issue activating the OS which Eluktronics Inc. helped me through with immediate reply emails, even after hours! I appreciate that so much. I would recommend this seller to anyone interested in this laptop.
Summary: I bought the HP ENVY Touchsmart 15t-j100 hoping that it would be the best laptop yet. Performance wise, it is the most powerful 15 inch laptop available from HP. Upon receiving the laptop I am greatly disappointed. I have been an HP customer for 14 years and this is the worst laptop I purchased yet. The trackpad/mouse pad is horrible. It is incredibly difficult to press the left or right click.
Summary: This laptop came with exactly what I was looking for. I very much appreciate the ability to configure the PC with the options I want instead of purchasing from a retail store. The performance is as fast as I expected. The reasons for not giving a 5-star rating are: 1) the display doesn't angle as far back as my old laptop and I would prefer that it tilted just a bit more 2) I prefer buttons on the touch pad instead of the integrated single pad as I don't always...
“ I was concerned in moving to a new Laptop/win8 ”
11 November 2013
Summary: It was a nice surprise to begin using this laptop with Windows 8 and not miss a beat. I had a poor experience previously when I tried a Surface RT. HP made the move to Win 8 an easy and less hard move than I expected. The Envy Touchsmart Laptop is like a tablet with a much bigger screen and integrated (very useful) keyboard. I found the integrated Windows 8 training HP provided to be just what I needed to feel comfortable in this new environment.
