Good machine, until it dies...

David A., Newegg
14 July 2015
  • Summary: We purchased this machine for our accounts person. The ProBook styling is nice, very professional. The 10-key was a huge boon as well. It started having problems a few months in. The machine was no longer able to resume from suspend. Eventually, the machine stopped recognizing the battery.
  • Pros: 10-key, full keyboard, beautiful styling
  • Cons: Had problems almost right away. HP wasn't much help, either. System stopped charging the battery, so we purchased a replacement -- then it stopped recognizing either battery altogether.

Solid HP laptop

Anonymous, Newegg
10 October 2014
  • Summary: Would recommend and buy again.
  • Pros: This is not an ultrabook. It is however a very solid laptop. It is a little thicker but speed i and features are nice. Bought for student use at a school district and is performing very well.
  • Cons: extra memory would be great but is an easy upgrade if needed later.

Great laptop - great price

Debra K., Newegg
8 October 2014
  • Pros: Great computer! I initially purchased a different brand of laptop and returned it to NE in 10 days because of consistent problems with the touch pad. I immediately replaced it with this laptop and am very happy. It loads quickly. My programs run smoothly. It's fast. And I haven't had a single pro...
  • Cons: None so far.

NOT INTEL HD 4000

PCsquared, Newegg
1 October 2014
  • Summary: PLEASE POST THE RIGHT SPECS, I CAN'T JUST GIVE UP $500 AND WAIT TO SEE WHAT I GET.
  • Pros: NONE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS LEMON. I MIGHT ORDER MORE AT $350
  • Cons: NOT INTEL HD 4000 GRAPHICS, NO WEBCAM, NO FINGER PRINT SENSOR (PORT IS THERE BUT FILLED WITH BLANK) WHICH RENDERS MOST OF THE HP PROTECT TOOLS WORTHLESS

Boot issues on all 4

PCsquared, Newegg
1 October 2014
  • Summary: The issue is an ATI driver bloatware thing that can be disabled, real shocker. Also the video resolution on these are barely acceptable at best. This is another time the savings has been explained by the quality of the product.
  • Pros: Good price for a 3 year warranty laptop.
  • Cons: Every boot will display a command prompt screen, all though brief it is very annoying and raises questions from would be buyers. Happens on all 4 units I purchased. Called HP support, completely worthless. Told me to reload OS. Don't waste your time with them.

screen failed in 96 hours

Karl R., Newegg
25 September 2014
  • Summary: Newegg quickly issued an RMA with very minimal hassel..5 eggs on service!, still waiting to hear from Iron egg about the $30 price drop since the original order. a very solid notebook for the price. No bloatware to speak of and if you do a little research, you'll see what a deal this book is.
  • Pros: Great Price on a solid business notebook. USB 3/1394/display port and express card support. Spill proof keyboard means this book can have a latte and keep on working ( there is a pan under the keyboard assembly that drains spills away from the main board. Nice design, hope I never have to field t...
  • Cons: main LCD failed within 4 days, luckily I had purchased the docking station and I was able to continue using this product until I could replace it. The backlight was OK, the video signal was not displaying. Appears to have been a cold solder joint between the AMD video chip and the main board. Loo...

Notebook is EXTREMELY HEAVY

Frank C., Newegg
19 September 2014
  • Summary: This laptop is a BEAST. Way too heavy for any type of mobile computing. By far the heaviest laptop we have ordered from Newegg (or anywhere else) in quite sometime. Seems like quality construction, just not at all what we were looking for.
  • Pros: Don't know, didn't power up.
  • Cons: Weight

Awesome Laptop 4 Cost

Chris H., Newegg
1 September 2014
  • Summary: I Didn't realize it had as many ports available as it does. Newegg's site doesn't show enough specs for the laptop to make a decision (not typical for Newegg), but looking up the 6570b online provided enough details to know that it had at least what I wanted.
  • Pros: Core i5, up to 16GB memory (came with only 4GB), easy access to hardware (bottom opens easily), MANY connection options; SSUSB3, Firewire, USB2, Displayport, VGA, PCIe 54 slot, SD, Bluetooth, COM port, even a modem! DVD burner, Dual-point (touchpad & stick) keyboard, ~$500-$550 at time of purchas...
  • Cons: Limited resolution (1366x768), No webcam, hard drive cage (cradle) was a little tough to remove & return - the screws get caught up. If upgrading or replacing HD - be patient with the screws and make sure they are not hanging up when sliding the drive cage (cradle).
