Summary: Worked great for two weeks then started doing updates every.night. Had to do a system restore twice and worked another week okay. Having to reload all the software, now because couldn't even get turned on last time we tried it.
Summary: The touch pad is touchy but can be turned off. Wish I had invested in a faster processor. Decent battery life. Good sound and graphics. It's a good deal for the price though. Will be staying with HP in the future because of the durability.
Summary: But I wish I had. I had a Pavilion Desk Top that lasted 8 years without serving. It ran win XP with SP2.. I'm considering resurrectin it with new software. Unfortunately I bought an Acer laptop for $439. The price was right. It's the OS I can't stand. I has windows 8. The. Latest thing.
Summary: Would be an awesome laptop if they would lower the price. Think this is worth about $800 not $1000
Pros: Over all great laptop. Decent processor and everything minus the finerprint reader seems to work with linux. Bought for my wife and she seems to like it so far.
Cons: BIOS. Has a fingerprint reader but preboot settings are not as good as DELL, for a professional computer. I prefer to be able to require the fingerprint to just be able to make it past the POST .
Summary: I am very pleased. However, if I had known how long it would take to get it I would have opted to send more money. Also the laptop was not wiped when I got it and had all the previous owners Facebook etc on it. So, I had to learn how to set it back to original condition myself.
Summary: I bought this laptop at Walmart 1 week after retiring from HP. What a disappointment! 1. It's SLOW...even with 4GB of memory running Windows7. It's S-L-O-W! 2. There's no PCMCIA slot! No way to any option cards. Who would have thought a laptop would not come with a PCMCIA slot?
