Review Update HP ProBook 655 G1 Notebook

Notebookcheck
11 April 2014
  • Summary: AMD business. HP asks for about 750 Euros (~$1030) for their ProBook 655 business notebook. For that price, the buyer gets an office device with an AMD APU, a matte display and a quick hard drive. Additionally, the computer is pre-equipped for the installation of an LTE modem and offers easy access to its inner workings for maintenance. But does the notebook do well in practice? Read our review to find out.
  • Pros: 4 USB 3.0 ports, Serial interface, Very easy maintenance/upgradeability, Docking connector, Matte display, Fast hard drive, SIM card slot with space and antennae for a 3G/LTE modem, That the computer runs quietly and maintenance is easy.
  • Cons: Warranty only lasts 12 months, Display is not very bright and has weak contrast, No Windows DVD, A better display and longer warranty coverage.

Review HP 655 B6M65EA Notebook

Notebookcheck
19 August 2012
  • Summary: Discount laptop. 300 Euros (~$386) is a ridiculously low price. Is this bargain-basement notebook an uninspiring slab of plastic with outdated technology? The inclusion of the brand new AMD APU at least refutes the latter statement. To find out if there's more to the HP 655, we conduct a thorough review.
  • Pros: Low price, Non-glare display, Decent battery life, Short battery charge cycle, Low heat, Low power consumption, Matte surfaces, The low price together with the non-Windows configuration option allow for a lot of flexibility and prevent pre-installed bloatware. AMD's Vision technology allows for a very long battery life - a couple of years ago, only a netbook could have achieved this feat in this price range.
  • Cons: Low system performance, Gaming almost impossible, Fan is always running, No USB 3.0, Low TFT brightness, No driver DVD included, A keyboard with a better tactile feedback. We think that HP's 620 series was better in that aspect.

Обзор ноутбука HP ProBook 655 G1

Notebookcheck.ru
13 April 2014
