annoying keyboard

Suzanka, Amazon
24 June 2015
  • Summary: keyboard is annoying because it is shifted to the left and the number keys are on the right. Number keys shift between numbers and directions and seriously slow down my work. for those who use a computer for WRITING< this is very difficult to adjust to.

Bloatware is prolific

PAUL M., Newegg
8 December 2014
  • Summary: Never been more unimpressed with HP... this is probably the 10th HP machine I've purchased over the years, reconsidering future buys from HP if this is any indication of where we have come. I know it's drastic, but maybe the time is ripe for a mac...
  • Pros: Sleek comfortable machine. Fit and form are nice... function is something to be desired.
  • Cons: I've spent hours trying to remove all the junk that's installed on this thing out of the box. I've never seen so much ridiculousness. Finally moved into safe mode just to uninstall all the junk because it was fighting me otherwise.

Decent but would spend a bit more for a different CPU

Anonymous, Newegg
5 November 2014
  • Summary: I have similar HP's with normal AMD A6 chips in them and they are noticeably faster with typical applications but the A6-Pro does do better with graphics.
  • Pros: Low price point and decent video performance. Very thin, light and includes a full keyboard. Happy with the physical build of the laptop also - built to take a beating.
  • Cons: It's my fault, but I did not pay closer attention to the CPU. Although it's an A6, it's an A6-Pro so only a dual core. Granted it comes with Radeon on-chip .. the CPU struggles to keep up.

HP ProBook 455 G2

Rick R., Newegg
29 October 2014
  • Summary: This is just a personal preference, but I like more speed so I always buy an additional 4GB of RAM to add to the notebook. It is already at a good price so I can justify the additional cost of an extra stick of memory.
  • Pros: I purchase the ProBooks for deployment in the company, for which I work. I think for what you are getting, it is an incredible price. I prefer the this model because we run 2 OSs Linux Mint and Win 7 Pro and the notebook runs well with either operating system. I can still purchase Win 7 pro on th...
  • Cons: The wireless card by realtec doesn't get picked up by Debian Linux distros (Ubuntu, Mint, Zorin, etc.) and you have to install the driver (rtl8723be) separately. It isn't a problem really, just a nice thing to know before installing Linux. All the other drivers load without issues.
