Summary: I cannot rate this product because I haven't use it as yet. All I have done with this Computer so far turned it on and off. I bought this Computer for my son, as soon as he start using it, I will give you a Review.
Summary: I purchased this laptop as a replacement/upgrade from a Lenovo R60 thinkpad because of the discontinuation of XP and the processing capabilities of the R60 were limited. I have a few minor gripes, one is the power cord is on the right which is kind of inconvenient to say the least, secondly all of the usb ports are on the front right and left sides , another inconvenience for right and left handed people to have to maneuver around.
Summary: I am very happy with this laptop so far. Keeping Windows 7 on it and its very fast with 8gb of RAM. haven't had any issues with laptop, this is my 3rd HP laptop and I think this one was built to last, feels very durable. battery life so far is great.
Summary: Not being a technologically advanced person, I knew I wanted to snatch up a Windows 7 before it is too late. But, I thought I also might want update this computer to Windows 8 at a later date. This computer offered both and I thought that would be a nice option. I will never load Windows 8 on this computer. I now know you have to have a touch screen to make Windows 8 user-friendly. This computer does not have that. This is a large computer in my opinion.
Summary: First one I've bought with number pad, pretty much eliminated any need for a desktop. Gripes; power jack on left side, would have preferred right or rear; USB for mouse near front edge, makes cord stick out toward mouse, found right angle extension that looped it toward rear. Optical drive hard to open, have to push in and down on very small projection. Otherwise very satisfied.
Summary: Purchased this 4545s ProBook at TigerDirect, $500, using Amazon for their gurarantee's 12/25/12. Bought because: value for the money, non-gloss screen, both Windows 7 pro and Windows 8 operating systems included. Works well. Spent some time uninstalling the not needed "extras" HP supplied. Going to have to talk with Microsoft about product key because there is no COA on this machine. One irritating point: touchpad was a bit centered for tapping.
