... few attempts at different laptops and this one is perfect for us
23 October 2014
Summary: It took me a few attempts at different laptops and this one is perfect for us. The only thing that's a little difficult to get accustomed to, is the numeric keypad on the right side. Great computer!
Summary: This is an upgrade slightly from the HP ProBook 4530 S. I wanted an additional backup computer, laptop for our offices at work. I upgraded the stock components by replacing the mechanical hard drive for a solid-state hard drive. I also added an additional 4 GB of RAM. I use the included disk to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 pro. After all the upgrades, the total cost is just under $1000 US. This is a solid work computer and can take some abuse.
Good laptop for the money-but something to consider

Summary: If it was possible I would have given this laptop 4.5 stars. I did a lot of research and shopped around before I decided on this computer. My old HP Pavilion died and I needed a solid workhorse to use as I am a freelance editor and student. I immediately knew I needed a laptop with windows 7. I had heard about all the kinks with windows 8 and 8.1. I wanted nothing to do with a touch screen on a computer that I would mostly use for word documents and streaming videos.
Summary: Okay computer. Good processing power for a laptop. A little heavy and it came loaded with tons of adware that has been a real pain, although i can't blame the hardware for that, either hp or the vendor is to blame. not sure.
