Summary: The Notebook has never worked for the amount of time (battery life) it claimed to work for. I have included a time test graph below. Actual Time % of Life Remaining Remaining Time Shown 11:24 98% 5.50 hours 12.44 74% 3.36 hours 4:09 10% 30 minutes The battery life should be 7 hours as stated in the manual. However, as you can see from the graph above the battery life is short of 4 hours.
Summary: I returned this computer immediately after trying to hook up to our wi-fi network. It would stay on the network for a minute then disconnect. I researched on internet and found it was a common problem.
Summary: I really wanted to like this computer. The keyboard and and trackpad are much better than the other budget laptops I've tried. The screen is good enough for my purposes and the i5 is very quick with the 4MB. My main complaint is the excessive fan noise. The fan runs CONSTANTLY and it is always audible even while the computer is idling. I find this to be really distracting especially when trying to do work that requires concentration. This HP is a real disappointment.

Summary: My daughter received this laptop brand new through school and has been using it daily for 5 months. Up until two weeks ago we had no problems. Everything worked just fine for a fourth graders use. I just got off the phone with the school's technology dept. and explained the problem....machine seems to start to power up, no screen on though and the fan turns on. From there it is frozen completely, no screen and I can't even turn the machine off with the power button.
Summary: I bought this computer a few years after I purchased a very cheap Acer laptop. I purchased this one because I figured something a little more pricey would prove to be more powerful and easier to use in a work environment. Boy was I wrong. Not only is it exactly the same speed as my Acer but its a little tougher to use. The mouse pad is not very good, its hard to get it to read double clicks and scrolling is nearly impossible.
Summary: I regret to say that although I was super excited to get this computer - my first HP - I was disappointed to find I have had constant issues with it since the first week. I now believe that all the problems are a hardware issue as we have done everything else with the Support Desk at HP - re-loading drivers, Operating System, Applications, etc. Regretfully, HP Support did not tell me that I would lose all of my files upon re-loading the Operating System. What a drag!
Summary: Not what I was expecting :/ but its a good laptop, but when it arrived at my house, it wasn't what it looked like in the picture. the color of the laptop was PINK, not BLACK!! But other than that mixed connection, it's a great laptop. I love it. I just ordered a skin from skinit.com and put it on the pink laptop. its adorable now. ! :D I would recommend this laptop to anyone, but remember that it might be pink. LOL!
Summary: After my beloved $300 toshiba satellite died I spent weeks researching windows 7 laptops and ended up with this computer. It seems well made and has some good features. Processor is pretty fast as well. This problem is with the mousepad. This is by far the worse Iv'e ever encountered. Some of it may have to do with my skin? I say that because the pads that are really smooth and shiny like my toshiba had and the asus have work really well for me. This one sucks.
Summary: I just got the laptop and I am setting it up. While moving files to it I noticed that all the office related files don't have any icons. Tried to sort it out but the licence isn't included. It comes with windows 7 and 8 but it does NOT come with office! Moreover, one of the buttons is cricked. After 7 months: 1) The screen stops working every now and then for 4-10 sec because the video card stops working suddenly. 2) Programs stop working every now and then.
