Excerpt: This laptop is very durable and feels very solid. Considering I paid less the $500 for this it is much better than anticipated. It handles pretty much everything I can throw at it - and I put it to work in a lot of different ways (I really like to multi-task). By far the best battery on a laptop I have ever used.
Excerpt: My husband just purchased this new laptop computer from a computer store. It is working out very nicely for us. I love the raised letters on the keyboard. Makes it so much easier to type with raised letters than with flat ones. It has a nice big keyboard, and a nice screen size. Clear and crisp. Good speed. Don't really know much else to say about it because I'm not a computer whiz, but just know that I like it so far and would recommend it to others.
Summary: The seller advertised that the computer had windows 7 operating system, when it was actually running windows server 2008 and the hard drive was completely full I had to wipe it completely and now have to buy my own edition of windows not a happy camper.
Summary: My last HP laptop lasted for 10 years (2000-2010), before I gave up replacing the IDE laptop drive. My older HP desktop is still running for gosh sake (2000-2013), with a Celeron 700Mhz processor and 384MB of RAM.
Excerpt: This laptop is a great new intro for the business minded indiviual. With the newest line of processors, the "core i3," this will power through business applications such as excel, word, and database programs. It has no fluff, such as expensive video cards or the like, so do not expect this to play your new Starcraft II or World of Warcraft: The Cataclysm video games. The i3 is rated for 2.26GHz, a mighty fast speed indeed.
Excerpt: I love the fact the conors of the laptop are metal. It is light weight and thin, great screen. I HATE the mouse is to the left of the keyboard and it is a touchpad which takes some getting use to. All in all its a good computer. I do not like having to call customer service because thier call center is in India!
Summary: Obviously not going to put more money into this thing so it goes in the trash. Last time I buy HP.
Pros: Not much. Price. You get what you pay for.
Cons: Started over heating and shutting off 3 months after I bought it. Had to send it in for repairs. Haven't used it for a while and tried to turn it on but it's completed dead. Tech support says the system board is bad and it's now out of warranty. It was hardly used and didn't last 2 years.
Summary: I've owned my Probook for somewhere in the vicinity of 9 months or so and other than a few minor quirks have been very pleased with this laptop. My model has the Core i5 processor and 4 gigs of ram and is zippier than any laptop I've owned. I run this thing constantly and have never had any issue with overheating or noise.
Summary: Please allow me to get this right out of the way. The performance of this computer is good; it is some huge oversights that are the cause of my unsatisfactory review. I would not feel so strongly about them if they had not caused me an immeasurable amount of grief. The first is the touchpad on this computer is unbearable!
