Summary: In the large and very diverse line up of HP laptops I must say the Probook series is my choice for top of the list.Even though I believe they were designed as mid-grade business machines - these laptops have proven to be very reliable & versatile workhorses.
Summary: The seller advertised that the computer had windows 7 operating system, when it was actually running windows server 2008 and the hard drive was completely full I had to wipe it completely and now have to buy my own edition of windows not a happy camper.
Summary: I've owned my Probook for somewhere in the vicinity of 9 months or so and other than a few minor quirks have been very pleased with this laptop. My model has the Core i5 processor and 4 gigs of ram and is zippier than any laptop I've owned.
Summary: Please allow me to get this right out of the way. The performance of this computer is good; it is some huge oversights that are the cause of my unsatisfactory review. I would not feel so strongly about them if they had not caused me an immeasurable amount of grief.
Summary: Comments about HP ProBook 4520s XT988UT Notebook: I purchased this for my daughter who uses the laptop for school, games and email purposes. She was very please about the number of features including the facial recognition which can interfere with use at times.
Pros: Adequate Storage, Durable Construction, Easy To Use, Fast, Good Battery Life, Large Screen, Lightweight, Reliable Performance
Summary: This is a very well built laptop. I was very impressed with how solid it is. Given its price, I was expecting much worse. You can hold it from one corner and there is no creaking or such. DVD drive is aligned with the back edge so it is solid in front where one tends to grab it.
Summary: I bought this product mainly for the price, $480.00 for an i3 processor is a good deal but the product did not work properly. The first time the screen went black, so I had to ask for a return number which I did get, yet I had to buy another computer while hooking up the bad one to another monitor...
