Summary: I'm a sophomore in college and I needed a new laptop. This was honestly my second choice, the first was a touch screen HP. Overall this is a nice computer. But it DOES NOT have a CD drive, which may be a problem for some people. Luckily most software can be downloaded. And it is NOT touchscreen. I love the number pad it has and the screen is a great size. Perfect for class. By it being a 'sleek book' it is very thin and light weight.
Summary: Recently I picked up this laptop locally for four hundred (very good price with these specs...). I'm an intermediate to advanced PC user who tends to be a bit picky when it comes to speed, stability and features. I don't do a lot of gaming, but I do enjoy photo and video editing, as well as working on my blog while listening to iTunes radio.
Summary: I thought this was a touchscreen which is what I really wanted .Did not realize until setting up.The page I looked at for computer confused me and I ordered wrong one. I had specifically entered to look at touchscreens so when this came up I thought it was a touchscreen .
Summary: Hp was loosing out on quality in the last few years but it seems they come up with some good products to put them right back into the game, exhibit HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b085nr (this laptop). The laptop has a very sturdy feel to it and makes up for the slower processor with its stylish looks. It lacks a backlit keyboard and a high resolution screen and the lack of a touch screen does make windows 8 somewhat difficult to use.
