Summary: I chose 4 starts, not five, because the processor makes a lot of noise on start-up as well as during opening programs and , sometimes, while running programs ( just like the Pentium 2 desktop i used to own back in the day). When it starts roaring i regret i should have opted for a better one. but who know which one is the best and which one a lemon without having a hands-on experience. Apart from that, the notebook is all what i wanted it to be.
Summary: Recently I picked up this laptop locally for four hundred (very good price with these specs...). I'm an intermediate to advanced PC user who tends to be a bit picky when it comes to speed, stability and features. I don't do a lot of gaming, but I do enjoy photo and video editing, as well as working on my blog while listening to iTunes radio.
Summary: I thought this was a touchscreen which is what I really wanted .Did not realize until setting up.The page I looked at for computer confused me and I ordered wrong one. I had specifically entered to look at touchscreens so when this came up I thought it was a touchscreen .
Summary: Hp was loosing out on quality in the last few years but it seems they come up with some good products to put them right back into the game, exhibit HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b085nr (this laptop). The laptop has a very sturdy feel to it and makes up for the slower processor with its stylish looks. It lacks a backlit keyboard and a high resolution screen and the lack of a touch screen does make windows 8 somewhat difficult to use.
Summary: I bought it on sale, and although Windows 8 is the first operating system I've used that doesn't seem intuitive, it's easy to figure out once I go through the user guides. The system is fast, light, very usable.
Summary: I just bought a few units of the SleekBook and was immediately impressed by the design and lightweight of the laptops. The keyboard material and surface seem a bit cheap for this system. I was also a bit disappointed that it didnt come with a DVDRW insert. i guess i had overlooked that in the spec sheets. Overall i would give this product a 3.5 star.
Summary: I was really expecting a budget no frills computer for the price I paid (four hundred). I've seen the price go up, and to me is just too much at that price, and that's the reason there aren't any reviews. This computer works super fast, and is super responsive with the latest operating system.
