Worst Laptop I've Ever Owned
18 June 2014
Summary: From the get-go this laptop was underwhelming. First off, it comes with a "bonus" security disc, which was great until I realized that there is no rom-drive on this computer and no way to install it! Other frustrations: The shockwave plugin (or flash or whatever) crashes quite regularly. And by quite regularly I mean several times per day.
Summary: I so regret wasting money on this piece of garbage. It has no CD drive. OK, maybe that's my fault. I did assume any laptop that someone is actually going to use would have a CD drive for new programs, movies, etc. This computer is incapable of reading a simple flash device that has all my important paperwork and documents on it. The touchpad on this computer is not convenient at all.
Summary: When I got it back in May of 2013, it WAS the best laptop ever, unfortunately, I have had to return it TWICE for repair. First, HP employees did not send my laptop in customer service sequence as they should have. They replaced the motherboard and sent it back to me. The second time, I returned it, they sent it according to sequence, but it still froze upon the next day returned to me. I finally am requesting a full refund or send me something that is similar or better.
Summary: I bought this from a different retailer. This has to be the worst HP Product I've ever bought. Pros: 10 key keyboard lay out screen size Cons: Mouse hangs Windows 8 hangs wont update to 8.1 random HP updates - Lost sound last time had to downgrade the BIOS. I really hate this computer. I want to take a hammer to it.
Summary: The lack of a touch screen is quite disappointing. Especially considering I specifically checked off "touch screen" when looking for a laptop. HP should do a better job when categorizing their products.
Summary: You will waste your money buying this piece of dump...It doesn't have a DVD drive, it doesn't have a VGA port...takes forever to open a page on the internet...When you call HP for assistance they are absolutely rude and they lie to you..I asked Customer Support at HP for a refund.....they told me I'm not entitled because the laptop works fine...
