Summary: I purchased this laptop in August 2013 and this computer crashed on me in July 2015. I only use this laptop for homework and never downloaded music, but it had a software failure. I'm disappointed and will not buy nor recommend another hp laptop.

Summary: I loved this computer when I brought it home. Worked great for about 3 months. I use a $2,500 XPS at work all day, so I know what a top of the line laptop is like. The HP is not, but it does everything it needs to do, and does them well. Well, almost...
Summary: I purchased the notebook for my son who is a senior in high school. The idea was that he could use the notebook for a few years in school. Two days after the warranty expired, the hard drive failed. With no optical drive, the only way was to get the OS on a flash drive.
Summary: This is the worst computer I have ever owned. The touch/click pad is terrible. It bogs down and doesn't run, requires rebooting often to unlock it when stuck or to recognize wireless connections. The combination of this computer and Windows 8 will make you change to apple.
Summary: From the get-go this laptop was underwhelming. First off, it comes with a "bonus" security disc, which was great until I realized that there is no rom-drive on this computer and no way to install it! Other frustrations: The shockwave plugin (or flash or whatever) crashes quite regularly.
Summary: I got the screen in took it my local repair store and they put it in and it would not light up the screen just flickered.. they put the old screen back in and it let up just fine put the other screen in and nothing...? Trying to.return the item now
Summary: When I got it back in May of 2013, it WAS the best laptop ever, unfortunately, I have had to return it TWICE for repair. First, HP employees did not send my laptop in customer service sequence as they should have. They replaced the motherboard and sent it back to me.
