Great laptop with a cheap price.

Excerpt: Bought this laptop for my son to do his virtual school online. It is the perfect size and very lightweight. The touchscreen is great when you have to do a lot of scrolling. The picture is clear and vibrant. The only downfall is that the computer doesn't have a disk drive. I would have loved a dvd drive or rewritable disk drive. My sin loves it to play his games and surf the web. I even like using this laptop more than my own because of the touch screen.
Summary: I got this unit to take on a trip to the UK, and it worked great everywhere. The unit boots really quickly, you can get to the password screen in about ten seconds, and get to the desktop in another fifteen. It's the first Windows machine I've had that does it. It boots faster than my iPad 2. As for the unit itself, it's nice and small and fits easily into a simple sleeve case, no need for a bulk book bag for this computer.
Summary: I found this laptop at an awesome price on another site and just couldn't resist so I pulled the trigger. Apart from a few quirks, I am mostly happy with it. The biggest draw for me was the 3200-by-1800 screen resolution. As someone who loves photography, this resolution was very attractive. And I have not been disappointed. Pictures viewed on this reveal details I have never seen on any other screen, and I happen to have a few above retina smartphone and tablet screens.
Summary: Awesome laptop with great screen and power!! A true winner here. Very well made too!! Come with T-Mobile lifetime 4g data and has all the ports you need to connect your life.... EXCELLENT 100% HAPPY.
Summary: First off, the picture is wrong. This is a sleekbook as stated and not a touchsmart. The only real difference here is the lack of a touchscreen. All the specs are top of the line and everything runs smoothly. The build of the laptop is excellent. Very sleek and love the silver metal finish. Performance is fantastic and battery life is great. Haswell is a difference maker. Resolution of 1366x768 at 14 inches leaves me wanting more but adequate. Touchpad can be finicky.
Summary: This computer is really good. The battery life is pretty good (could be better) I don't really care about the weight but it is not that heavy. One thing, it does not update to windows 8.1 very easily (I had a lot of issues doing it) The track pad does take a few days to get used to it but it's not that hard to learn it. The speakers sound pretty good and have a decent amount of volume. The free 200 MB of data a month is a nice bonus.
Summary: Have you ever been on the verge of lobbing something out the window?! That’s sure how I feel about the “laptop” known formally as the “HP ENVY TouchSmart 14-k110nr Sleekbook”. I put the name in quotations because it sounds fancy and highfalutin, but there is nothing sleek or smart about this product. My mother is the one who actually made the mistake of purchasing this piece, from the local Best Buy.
Summary: It's decent. I got a sweet deal on this laptop about a year ago. It does its job. Windows 8 is pretty annoying on a laptop, but that's neither here nor there I guess. As far as the physical attributes go, it's slim and light, although it feels a little cheap and plastic. It's slowed down quite a bit in the last year, and the battery life's deteriorated quite a bit. But it still does everything I need it to.
Summary: I bought this refurb'ed from Secondipity, which is affiliated with Amazon. I was going along well, learning Windows 8 fast and really liking the machine when the fan started getting loud and the machine would freeze up over and over. I've since learned it was probably losing the hard drive. Regardless, they sent a label and I returned the unit. Around ten days later they sent an email saying they hadn't received it.
