Summary: i initially loved this laptop..but over time? from what i experienced and then researched..it eventually may get clogged with dust and or the heatsink paste dries out and your laptop will over heat and shut down . now that is a good and bad thing. the shutting down saves from frying you laptop, but it gets annoying. there are fixes for it DYI stuff ifyou search online & IF your tech inclined..else?
Summary: Overall a good system however, I was not happy to see that the IEEE 1394 interface was not built in. Instead, there's a useless HDMI interface that's only an output providing no way to up load video from DV cameras to the computer. Can't believe that computer manufactures have left 1000s of video producers down by eliminating the DV interface. Wish I could get my old DP laptop working again.
Summary: Well I can't write a detailed review on this. The onlt thing I didn't like about it was, it had windows 8 in it. I'll never own any computer with that system it. Other than that it was a great laptop. Somebody else thought so too. They stole it out of my house. One day I'll get another one.
Summary: I've had this laptop for over a year now, and it still performs pretty well. This serves as my everyday use laptop (I'm typing from it now) and it's a good deal for the price. I frequently play Star Wars: The Old Republic on this laptop and it does well on medium graphics. There are some laggy areas, but as long as I'm not running too many other programs it does quite nicely. The Windows 8 can take some getting used to, but after a while it grows on you.
