Summary: The hard drive crashed about a month after the one year warranty. Luckily, my daughter knew who to retrieve her information and replace the hard drive with a better one. WD Black Scorpion that we purchased on Amazon and is now up an running.
Summary: I used this laptop for over a year now, moving from an MSI gaming machine. I was expecting higher performance from this processor and GPU combo. But it sadly was a disappointment. It could only handle simple browsing and word-processing tasks with ease.
Summary: It's a good computer, but it is touchy. If I barely move my hand over the mouse the screen will shrink or another link will open. It can be very frustrating. However, I do like the computer overall.
Summary: It worked flawlessly for 17 months then the hard drive failed w/o warning. BestBuy Geeks diagnosed the problem and are installing a new hard drive. Total cost for new HD and diagnosis around $400 BUT you can't buy a new 17-inch laptop for under $1,000 so this isn't a big outlay.
Summary: This is one of the best personal computer which I bought in the last 3 years. The only problem I had with the window 8.Window 8 is ruining all the good fetures this computer because you simply do not allow the use of its full potential. to do 90% of things you have to havea internet.
Summary: would be nice if they had sent a start up disk along with the unit. Norton either was attacked or just stopped working and now the computer is full of viruses. Tried several things to clean it up but at this point it is too far gone for that to work.
