Summary: This computer has Windows 8 which was designed to be used on touch screen tablet. HP and Microsoft did me a disservice by making a laptop bundled with Windows 8. It makes me want to run screaming to Apple to by a Mac.
Summary: This laptop is not what it was advertised to be and now after barely a year of having it..the fan has gone out and the computer will no longer run. It was given a low rating at that time, the rating was removed because it stopped him from selling to Amazon. It was tampered with as we can tell now and I am not pleased with it at all. In future I will NOT order any such items from Amazon again.
Summary: This is the worst computer I have ever purchased. I has had problems since day one. It is weak, has a poor visual display, constantly crashes, has had nothing but problems. HP insists that there is nothing wrong with it but it doesn't work well. I think it is an inferior product. I will never buy another HP computer. I had HP customer service call me today to follow up on my technical support issues.
Summary: I have been using HP laptops (work and home) for over 7 years now. All of them were/are great. This laptop is different, I am not sure if its this particular piece or all the Pavilion G7 line. I felt like it was made of very cheap materials. Thanks to Amazon for sending it quickly, I used it for about a week and had to send it back.

Summary: I purchased this laptop because I needed Windows 8 for work at home purposes. My previous laptop was a Dell Studio 17, and unfortunately could not be upgraded because of the lack of a video driver for windows 8. Initially I was impressed with this laptop. It seemed to have what I needed, and was not overly loaded with bloatware. However, after a few days, I started noticing that it was doggone slow.
Summary: the dvd drive does not eject manually. after a few days there was a vertical line on the screen. keyboard was not sitting right. wifi has very limited range, you have to be very close to the router. windows 8 not very user friendly after so many years of using windows os. returned for a refund.

Summary: This my first Windows 8 computer --- purchased for my wife. I dislike Windows 8, she hates Windows 8. HP Support says you are stuck with Windows 8. You can not downgrade to Windows 7. They will sell you the Windows 7 disc but will provide you NO DRIVERS to support Win 7. You must get drives from the manufacturers of each of the components HP puts into the notebook. If you downgrade support and warranty are void. So...it's good hardware and value.
Summary: Windows 8 is terrible. It's already crashing and I don't live with the person I bought it for so I can't do the (what I can only assume would be) relatively easy fix. The reason I'm giving it such a low rating though is to sway other non-computer minded persons from purchase. Go with a computer that comes with Windows 7...Windows 8 can't even function properly for those who don't know their way around computers.
Summary: I am very sad that had to give this item 2 stars, and that was a gift. I was very excited to get another HP and a large one with Windows 8. As a Vine Voice here n Amazon I was given a book to review, "Windows 8 for Dummies" in anticipation of getting my new unit. Although I gave rave reviews for the book I wish I could say the same for the unit. I am sorry to say I will be sending it back today. I tried very hard to fix the problems it had but it was impossible.
