Review HP Pavilion g7-2007sg notebook

Notebookcheck
9 September 2012
  • Summary: AMD or Intel? HP's Pavilion g7 series gives the potential buyer either option. We take a look at the top model (MSRP around 700 Euro) with Core i7 processor and Radeon graphics and ask ourselves the following question: is the Intel version of the 17-inch notebook worth the price premium?
  • Pros: High performance, Ample RAM, Not very power hungry, Attractive price, 2x USB 3.0, Considering the components, especially the speedy Core i7 processor, the price of about 700 Euro sure is very attractive.
  • Cons: Reflective chassis surfaces, Weak display, Very warm under load, Not very upgradable, Only 1 year warranty, Considering the overall performance for the money, it doesn't really surprise us that there are shortcomings. Chassis, port selection, and display all are all just about average.

Review Update HP Pavilion g7-2053sg Notebook

Notebookcheck
14 July 2012
  • Summary: Inexpensive base model. We recently reviewed the HP Pavilion g7-2051sg with just average results, but now its fraternal twin has to withstand our test. Is this basic configuration a notable improvement?
  • Pros: - Relatively compact and light, - Good speaker, - Decent price, We liked the Pavilion g7's design. Its weight and size are also okay.
  • Cons: - Modest performance, - Average display, - Pulsating fan noise, - Throttling under load, Bluetooth and a better display would help to get the device a considerably better result.

Review HP Pavilion g7-2051sg Notebook

Notebookcheck
27 June 2012
  • Summary: Not a good buy. According to HP's German website, the Pavilion g7-2051sg is "simple and appealing". The desktop replacement based on AMD's Trinity platform is simple, that we can confirm. Appealing? Only to an extent.
  • Pros: Powerful platform, Fairly compact size, The Pavilion g7's design is very striking. Its weight and size also fit.
  • Cons: Moderate workmanship, Only average screen, Inadequate thermal design, Pulsating fan noise, Bluetooth and a better screen. The installed screen points to extreme cutbacks.

Expert Review

  • Conclusion: The HP Pavilion g7-1375ea is a great little (make that, big) laptop that offers pretty much everything one would need from a portable computer. Its performance is good, even playing games. Picture quality is spot on. Just be sure to invest in a pair of good pair of headphones.
  • Pros: Despite its size, the HP Pavilion g7-1375ea doesn’t feel as heavy as it should. It weighs 3KG, which isn’t exactly featherweight, but the weight just feels evenly distributed across this large laptop. Its dual-core processor and 4GB RAM also makes light work of most tasks. It’s quick to boot up and is capable of effortlessly jumping from task to task. And unlike some laptops, the HP Pavilion g7-1375ea won’t singe your lap. It’s great at keeping itself relatively cool ...
  • Cons: Unfortunately the HP Pavilion g7-1375ea suffers from the same problem that affects most laptops. Sound is not the best, and can be tinny at the best of times. The best bet here is to invest in a decent pair of earphones or speakers. The touchpad could also be better. It clearly works, but two finger scrolling feels unreliable. You’re better using a mouse here.

Review HP Pavilion g7-1353eg Notebook

Notebookcheck
14 February 2012
  • Summary: For smart savers. HP designs the Pavilion g7-1353eg according to the motto "plenty of hardware for a small price". The inexpensive multimedia notebook, price-tagged at just under EUR 500, not only has a quad core processor and two graphics chips, it also has a 750 GB HDD and a six GB DDR3 RAM. Who can resist such a bargain?
  • Pros: Reasonable noise development, Quad core CPU and dual GPU, Cool case surfaces, Low power consumption, Compact power adapter, Attractive price, Big HDD, The fan doesn't get disagreeably loud during 3D mode.
  • Cons: CrossFire issues (e. g. micro stuttering), Unpleasant touchpad surface, Poor interface diversity, Poor glare-screen, Second grade keyboard, Poor performance, CrossFire support for DirectX 9 games. A better screen would also be great.

Review HP Pavilion g7-1002sg Notebook

Notebookcheck
3 August 2011
  • Summary: Cubicle Fixture. Ever since its little brother got some attention as part of the "Intel TESTIT!2011" notebook testing pool, the HP Pavilion g7 Office notebook has been aching for its moment in the spotlight. For 499 Euro (RRP), Hewlett Packard is offering a 17.3" laptop with an AMD quad-core processor and Radeon HD 6470M graphics card. Does this inexpensive office notebook give you enough bang for your buck, or should you dish out for better performance?
  • Pros: Easy-to-Access Hardware, Acceptable Variety of Ports, Large Keyboard w/ Num Pad, HD+ Resolution (1600x900), Good Application Performance, The good display resolution (albeit typical for a 17" laptop) as well as the attractive price.
  • Cons: Somewhat Flimsy Plastic Case, Few Accessories, Poor-Quality Keyboard & Touchpad, Mediocre Reflective Screen, Only Sandy Bridge Models with SATA III Support, Constantly Spinning Fan, Noise and Heat under Heavy Use, Unimpressive Battery Life, A sturdier case, a better display, less noise and heat, not to mention a longer battery life.

  • Summary: The Samsung Series 7 Gamer is a true contended to the gaming laptop crown. It's good looking, if a little bulky and has oodles of power for all your gaming and other needs, all through a lovely 1080p panel.
  • Pros: Fast Gaming Laptop, Great Bright Screen, Nice Looking Machine, Not as Expensive as many Others, Audio is good
  • Cons: A little heavy, Battery power

Test HP Pavilion g7-2007sg Notebook

Notebookcheck
27 August 2012
  • Pros: Hohe Performance, Großzügige Speicherausstattung, Geringe Leistungsaufnahme, Attraktiver Preis, 2x USB 3.0
  • Cons: Spiegelndes Gehäuse, Schwaches Display, Sehr warm unter Volllast, Eingeschränkte Aufrüstbarkeit, Nur 1 Jahr Garantie

Análise do Portátil HP Pavilion g7-2051sg

Notebookcheck
9 August 2012
