Summary: My husband apologizes all the time for buying this for me. It has been a nightmare. It is SO slow, I HATE windows 8! My programs constantly crash. I hardly have anything on it & yet it still works horribly.
I owe the HP Pavilion g series an essay regarding one tragic flaw
3 September 2015
Summary: I purchased this g-series laptop a few years back as my daily driver, but had hardly used it since I switched to a MacBook. Recently I decided to sell my Mac on a transition to back to Windows PCs and decided to hop back on this HP G6 during my search for a new laptop.
Summary: Worst f***ing computer I have ever had to use. I won't rant about how bad Windows 8 is, cause everyone already knows, and now you can update to Windows 8.1 or 10 or some s***. So, all complaints about Windows 8 aside, this computer sucks.
Summary: It came with a defective battery, I contacted the seller, received a new one, that one lasted only for 3 months. Then I realized something is wrong with a battery supply since batteries worked for other HP's. I found out that computer was used way before I got it!
Summary: Works fine for about, hmmmm, 4 months? Then is stupid slow and get viruses like nobody's business. I also HATE the new windows on it. Worst operating system ever created. Really wish I didn't waste the money.
Summary: I purchased this computer in November 2012. Its barely operational now. I had it serviced within 6 months of purchase when the internal fan broke and then again a few months later. It has really been more trouble than its worth during the year and half I've had it.
Summary: After only two weeks the harddrive crashed!! Thingking H.P. to be a worldwide company I contacted them to have it fixed . No can do,I have to have an adres in the states to be able to ge a new hard drive. I live in the netherlands!!! How am I supposed to have an adres in the U.S.A.?!?!
Summary: I had the misfortune of purchasing this laptop in December of 2012 based on the reviews seen as well as the fact that this was rated as one of the top ten's best laptops at the time, however, the "C" key was the first thing to go almost one month later (January 2013).
Summary: Bought less than one year ago and with regular use and no abuse the plastic on the bottom rear left hand side of the computer where the hinge is seated started to crack and to separate. Laptop was never dropped. Called HP support and what a joke they are!
