The HP Pavilion dv8-1000 is a notebook that runs Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium (64-bit) operating system and is powered by an Intel® Core™ processor i7-720QM with 1.60 GHz speeds and Level 2 cache 6 MB. The notebook is supported by a 4096 MB memory (maximum 8 GB) DDR3, and has two 320 GB internal SATA hard disk drive (for a total of 640 GB) spinning at 7200 rpm speed. The HP Pavilion dv8-1000 also supports a Lightscribe Blu-Ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD±R/RW Double Layer Lightscribe optical drive that lets users create silkscreen-quality disc labels direct from a PC with LightScribe, a 5-in-1 integrated Digital Media Reader for Secure Digital cards, MultiMedia cards, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, or xD Picture cards; integrated 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN, Intel 802.11 a/g/n and Bluetooth® wireless networking and supports the following input and output: 4 USB 2.0 (4th shared with eSATA port), 1 HDMI connector, 1 eSata + USB connector, 1 VGA port, 1 RJ45 ethernet connector, expansion port, 2 headphones-out, 1 mic-in, 1 IEEE 1394, remote control infrared port, and cable docking connector. It also supports an IEEE 1394 FireWire® Interface video capture interface and one ExpressCard/54 Slot (also supports ExpressCard/34).
