After almost 2 years with it, its still amazing and in great shape.

Summary: Ive had this thing for a good year and a half now. Runs every game ive threw in it amazingly including Crysis 3, Metro 2033, Bioshock Infinite, and the infinite list of games that I have. I had the fan blow out once, but its because I way overheated it with no external fan. I bought a cheap maybe $20 external for the bottom and no problems since, and the fan fix was no biggie. You will really enjoy this thing but im sure you can find it for a better price.
Summary: The HP Envy dv7 is extremely fast, boots up extremely fast, is quiet and cool (temperature-wise). The display is excellent, too (I'm a photographer, and needed a screen that would display my photographs correctly. Other than being stuck with Windows 8, I couldn't be happier. Well maybe one more small thing - I thought I'd be able to steal some of the 750GB hard drive that windows is on (the "C" drive) for additional storage, but it appears to be pretty well tied up.
Summary: I needed a hi-def laptop with lots of HD space, lots of power, lots of everything. Didn't want Win8, didn't want a 17" screen. This has both, but I still love love love it. I have a 27" hi-def monitor this baby's going to drive. I primarily photoedit so I need resolution and all the billions of colors. Now I have it all. When I travel, I can edit on the laptop, taking all my stuff with me, since I use the laptop as a desktop replacement.
Good but can't use my external display in portrait mode
28 June 2013
Summary: This pc is fast, and liking it very well except for windows 8 until today I was just absolutely dumfounded to find out that I can't use my external display for serious photo editing. I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to use it and get it over in portrait mode. Finally I looked it up online and discovered that others have found it impossible without adding a usb video card.
Summary: This computer does everything you would expect. My only problem is not with the computer or the seller, but with Microsoft. Windows 8 for a non touch screen PC or laptop is useless. Microsoft took a step backwards in this design. I would even prefer Windows Vista over this. I did however spend another $3.00 to make the experience more bearable. Download Startisback. makes using Windows 8 tolerable. Wish I would have ordered this laptop with Windows 7.
Update to: it keeps rebooting 7 times in the last 3 days

Summary: the specs on this machine are excellent but it won't stay up. Eluktronics said that they would swap it with a new one and while i wait for their instructions I'm trying to get my files and programs off it without losing anything to spontaneous reboots! Luckily i still have the backups i used to move the data to this new machine in the first place.
Summary: First, Let me start off by saying I gave this company a bad review at first. But after dealing with them and them helping me through all my problems, I have to say that they are the best company on Amazon!!! I had a problem with the product and needed to return product. They helped me every step of the way I was having a problem updated the laptop due to the msata drive. But no matter what the issue was these guys were great!!
Summary: This is the perfect laptop for gammers (or anyone). It has a massive storage (2tb) and is preloaded with windows 8. What I love about it most is the fingerprint scanner! No more hassles of signing on, just slide your finger across the scanner and you are logged in! It is super fast and the screen is big and so clear! I was leery of the windows 8, but I am finding that it will do everything that 7 does, plus so much more. This is a bargain for the price!
