Excerpt: This is a fantastic notebook on paper. However, it's been extremely unreliable and has drastic malfunctions on a regular basis. It's been replaced twice, and the second replacement had manufacturer defects right out of the box (and it was not a refurbished model). High end specs for the price...
Summary: I sent this machine back for a refund. After being powered up for less than 3 minutes the cooling fan would begin to cycle on and off repeatedly. I replaced the machine with a Lenovo and it makes NO sound.
Summary: I buyed it on april 2012, it was one of the best laptop on the market on that time. It works very fast, all my work is done with a bunch of speed. I'm an IT Engineer and I use it for my work. I run different virtual machines, Visual Studio 2012 and others memory and processor consuming task. I also a photographer, so, sometimes I use photoshot, adobe lightroom at the same time. I recomment it for any one buying a laptop.
Summary: I bought this computer in december 2011, I was very happy with it, but my happiness came down when it damaged(september 2012), the seller give and awful support, and for my surprise I don't have two year of warranty, HP said to me in september 2012 that I had less than two month of warranty. I don't recommend anyone to buy from this seller.
Problems from the beginning--HP refused my request to exchange for a new machine without the already obvious problems.

Summary: This might have been a decent laptop if it were not for the fact that HP had an error in their records in regards to my receipt and refused to acknowledge my invoice through Amazon.com as to the purchase date of June 28, 2012. They and their multi-diverse agents with multi-diverse thick accents and refusal to apply due dilligence, simply refused to acknowledge my proof of purchase, and provide me with the proper tech support as provided by the warranty of 1 year.
Summary: I actually have a similar version with the I-7 3610QM processor, and 1TB hard drive, but I bet the performance is similar. The computer boots quickly and with a good Internet connection it just screams. I have yet reached the limit of the system, though no heavy gaming or math processing yet. The fingerprint reader works great once you figure out how to properly swipe it. Screen is really nice, good colors and bright.
