Summary: HP Customer Service has to be the worst I've ever experienced. It took 6 weeks for them to resolve my latest (and certainly my only) problem with this HP Pavilion dv6. I've kept a detailed list of my problems with HP (dates, names, results, if any, etc,), but in the interest of brevity, I can only say, NEVER buy a HP product. You'll live to regret it. Better Business Bureau and Consumer Reports complaints filed also.
Summary: The laptop itself is probably fine. However, the screen went out after only 6 months. HP repaired the screen for free but now 9 months later the screen no longer works. HP now says that the laptop is no longer under warranty and it will cost over $200 to repair. I should not have to pay to repair a second faulty screen. Not to mention the incovenience to my college student to have his laptop go out right in the middle of the semester. No more HP products for me.
Summary: The item I ordered arrived BROKEN. The box it came in was ok, however, the LCD Screen was not properly packaged and one of the brackets was bent and poking through the plastic, and the screen was totally shattered! I returned this item.
Summary: At the time of manufacturing itself it is a defect and faulty product..With in 10 days I have return the laptop back to HP and they have issued refurb laptop and it was on 2011.From that day Laptop performance is very very Bad..As it is a i7 process but performance wise it is equal to OLD desktop's(1990 desktop)..Customer support is not good..Don't effort too much for a waste product. System will Heat and auto shutdown is additional feature offered from HP..
Summary: Sent this garbage back to hp they replaced the hard drive sent it in for overheating. Repaired then then failed again and called after one year they would not help me. Very poor company. I recommend Lenovo now...
Summary: hard drive failed! I never even really used it. then one day it just stopped working and telling me it didn't recognize and it boot system failed. a horrible company hp and I will never ever buy another computer because now I am stuck with a computer I paid hundreds of dollars for that doesn't work. I will never ever trust some one telling me hp is great, I will go with my instinct which is to avoid their laptops.
