Summary: I know what you're thinking, the price is right. Well it's not worth it. My arduous journey with this craptop began when it first came out in 2010. I bought it new from Bestbuy (never again). The journey ended with this thing smashed to pieces just three years later "Office Space" style, no joke.
Summary: Bought this wonderful looking devil a year ago. Yes it looks fantastic and works very well. Until like the 2 previous HP laptops I have had a CTO tx2000 and another pavillion, this one too died with a display problem. How cool is that now, for me HP laptops are dead.
Summary: I followed the instructions to start, but I could not install Windows 8. I sent the machine to a technician, who after examining it said that one of the RAM pins was failed. I purchase this machine from outside US, so I could not claim warranty
Summary: I've had my computer for a little over 2 years and it went out about two weeks ago. The computer powers on but the screen is black, the fan runs and the cap lock and the number lock blinks every 3 seconds.
Summary: Great price, great delivery, but the unit does not work because the operating system was not installed or not installed properly. Called HP (in India) and, after speaking with an agent, I had to wait three hours to SEE if it works.
Summary: This machine performs well enough but my hard drive burnt up after a couple of months. HP took care of the new drive after a lengthy call to India but that was not the last problem. The hinges that atach the screen are of a poor design and they break. What a pain in the butt!
Summary: This computer was purchase for a client and has failed. "Black Screen Failure", just the same as hundred of thousands of other defective computers. It is out of warranty and now my client is just screwed. When the chips desolder from the motherboard that is a design defect.
