Summary: Bought this wonderful looking devil a year ago. Yes it looks fantastic and works very well. Until like the 2 previous HP laptops I have had a CTO tx2000 and another pavillion, this one too died with a display problem. How cool is that now, for me HP laptops are dead.
This laptop starts giving problems in less than a year
17 February 2013
Summary: I purchased this laptop directly from hp. In less than a year the battery died, the left mouse pad button was loose, the key board in the upper right corner became unattached, and the laptop made this weird buzzing sound. Luckily the warranty wasn't up yet so I received free repair.
Summary: I followed the instructions to start, but I could not install Windows 8. I sent the machine to a technician, who after examining it said that one of the RAM pins was failed. I purchase this machine from outside US, so I could not claim warranty
Summary: Great price, great delivery, but the unit does not work because the operating system was not installed or not installed properly. Called HP (in India) and, after speaking with an agent, I had to wait three hours to SEE if it works.
Summary: I got this laptop as a graduation gift in May of 2010, and I thought it was okay. I didn't like how the glossy plastic made for constant cleaning, but I could live with that. The screen was smaller than what I would have liked, but it was fast and had enough memory for my needs.
