Summary: Same problems as everyone else - it won't start up half the time and when it does it takes a long time. Now it won't start at all. I couldn't even count the number of times I had to reformat it. Now I can't even get it to reformat or start with the recovery disks.
Summary: The worst laptop. Every now and then, there is something wrong. Plus it's very slow and gets too hot. Like a month after I bought it, I had to send it it cuz something wasn't working. It came back scratched! Then something else. I have it for 2 yrs and half, and it is definitely not worth the money.
Summary: this laptop has a known issue related to the AMD chip overheating. They have released an emergency bios update which makes the fan run at all times. HP has also created a program allowing people to get their laptop serviced for 2 years from the original purchase date.
Summary: I bought this computer in late May of 2007 to help me in my first year of teaching. It worked just fine until a couple of days after my one-year warranty ran out. Then, everything went to pieces.
Good value for the money, this is not a gamers laptop.

Summary: I purchased this laptop over a year ago and it is still working fine with MS Vista Home Premium. The unit is fairly strong built and it is compact easy to carry around. It has a built in graphic accelerator therefore, this is not a gamers laptop.

Summary: I purchased this laptop in June of 2007. It was an awesome little laptop for the first six months I owned it. Quite literally, the moment we hit 2008 I have had nothing but problems with this laptop. It refused to boot in January and I had to send it in to HP.
Summary: This is a really good deal, you get more than you pay for. First off, the whole thing looks awesome. It's glossy black on the outside, which makes it a fingerprint magnet but they include a cloth to clean it. I usually just lay that on my keyboard before I close the lid for whenever I need it.
Summary: This is my first laptop so I don't have a comparison point. I didn't have a laptop before because I thought they weight too much and I knew I would be carrying them around... I bought it because is small and it has everything included (bluetooth, webcam, dvd writer with ligthscribe, etc) so the size...
