HP Pavilion dv2

The Pavilion dv2 from HP is a thin and light ultra-portable notebook. This notebook has been released in addition to the HP Firebird with Voodoo DNA. The HP Pavilion dv2 has been released April 2009.

Features

The Pavillion dv2 comes with a Genuine Windows® Vista Basic or a Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit). It features an AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 Processor, a 12.1-inch diagonal WXGA (1280 x 800) LED, ATI Mobility Radeon HD3410, DDR2 SDRAM, 533MHz, one SODIMM memory slot and it supports up to 4096MB. HP representatives explained that the drive actually sucks power to the tune of 2A (conventional USB 2.0 ports are rated for 0.5A), and the dv2's USB ports are designed to accommodate the additional power draw. There’s also an external LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD±RW with Double Layer Support or an external Lightscribe Blu-Ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD±R/RW Double Layer. Customers can chose between these two. Internet connections options and features would be 802.11b/g WLAN 802.11b/g WLAN and Bluetooth or 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN or 802.11a/b/g/n with Bluetooth OR, WWAN (Gobi) (10g). The Hp Webcam and HP Imprint - Espresso Black are also featured in this dv2. It has 6-cell 55WH battery. This notebook allows high-end applications such as Adobe Photoshop CS4 to be installed and makes multi-tabbed Web surfing more supportable than on a 10-inch netbook screen. It has a full size keyboard. The keys are practically the same in design as the other ultraportable models. It has a pair of responsive mouse buttons which is located beneath the touchpad. Moreover, it has an HDMI-port and built-in speakers. The dv2 also possesses three USB ports, a 5-in-1 card reader (SD, MMC, xD, MS, MS Pro), an Ethernet port, VGA, and built-in Wi-Fi. Like all Pavilion laptops, it comes with a one-year warranty for parts and labor. An internal optical drive is included as well. The dv2 is capable of running 3D intensive applications. The discreet ATI Mobility Radeon 3410 graphics card, which comes with 512MB of video memory, can handle moderate 3D gaming. It measures at just 1-inch thin and weighs inaccurately starting from 1.64kg.
