Summary: I've owned this laptop for almost a year now, and I had several problems. The battery crashed after six months and i had to replace it. But my last and hardest problem is that the plastic flexes are very weak and they started to break, and now i can't close the laptop without fearing that it will split in two. And there are no replacements for those parts so I basically have to buy another computer.
Summary: When this device worked it was great, however I had more thchnical troubles with this laptop then I've ever had with any device I've ever owned. every 6 months the fan would start to malfunction, and after the warrantee had expired (including a square trade support agreement), the entire unit became barely usable. Not built to last.
Summary: My parents bought this for my for my first year of college. We got a refurbished version because it was cheaper and it was on sale for $450.00. I've experienced 0 problems within the last two years and everything runs smooth. The CPU was a bit loud and made whirling noises, even if it was on standby doing nothing. The keyboard itself was a bit "funky" from most keyboards I've used. It took me a while to get use to it (4 months).
Summary: I bought this laptop early 2011, it had almost 10 month warranty ,it was very very good till I had the warranty! but exactly 2 months after warranty expired the problem started. I wasted 850$ on this laptop. i got the error that one of my hard drives is not working(after 1 year of purchasing it).it took 1.5 hour for windows to load up on staring. I used it for a 1 year on sleep mode without shutting it down!!
Summary: I bought this laptop almost two years ago... It was on a great deal.. It is not a bad laptop for the price. Speed is nice. Its lightweight.. easy to carry... does what a normal laptop is supposed to do.. Two things i hate about this laptop are: Screen... you can't see anything on it in day light.. its just a bab impact on your eyes... Speakers.. Sound is so less.. even my tablet provides is louder than it... if you watch videos and stuff.. you will hate it..
Was great to start, but durability is questionable

Summary: I bought this computer on sale through Staples about 1 to 1 1/2 years ago. At first I absolutely loved it, and for the most part it is still a very good computer. I really like the finger print security because it makes signing into a lot of things much easier and quicker and because I have client confidential material on my computer, so I don't have to worry about someone signing on my computer and being able to access that information.
Summary: I've had this laptop for 17 months now. The performance is awesome. It's quick, responsive, the perfect size and weight for carrying around with me and I couldn't be happier with the i5 processor. Unfortunately, the shell of this laptop is not what it should be. Google, Hp Pavilion DM4 hinge problem and see how many people have a problem with the left hinge of this laptop. It started about 5 months into ownership... when I would close the lid, it was off center.
Summary: I bought this computer during the holiday season of 2010. Since then, it has been a fantastic computer. Light, fast, and cute. I have used it gently, as I do all of my expensive electronic devices, and we have had lots of good computing times together... Until recently. Within the past two months, the right hinge has started to creak loudly and it actually bulges out to the point that it warps my screen.
Summary: I bought this computer less than 2 years ago. First I had to replace the battery, now both hinges are loose and if I put it on my lap and even make the slighest move I get a line running through the left side, so basically it's now a desktop, which I hate. And of course its after the warranty ran out. After writing this review HP's Scott B contacted me on this forum to discuss my computer issues. I want to Thank Scott B. for really listening to your customer's feedback.
